Boxtops they probably have more chance of visiting France, Germany and England than any of the youngsters in my local primary visiting Pakistan or India.
For some of them the first time they see the seaside is a school trip day out.
Although mandarin is probably the native language of most in the world, I believe English is the language spoken by more people, almost like an international language. Many Asian and European non-UK folks speak it as a second language.
It doesn't help in this country when advertisements have actors saying bruvver instead of brother, uvver instead of other and so on. I know this way of speaking is quite common but to advertise it is encouraging more people to speak like it.
