Do you view AB as a source of information and exchange that has/could help you form your worldview?
Or is it just a place where you can let off steam, expound your own views which you know are 'right' and are set in concrete?
If it has changed your opinions will you give an example?

You're quite correct, DTC: not a lot of people have experienced the wondrous feeling of a reincarnation.
Ladybirder. What is the difference and what made you change your view.
I have my own views which don't always conform with other ABers, but it doesn't stop me enjoying banter and joining in debates of a political, religious and royalist nature. Nor do I mind taking the p*55 out of 'followers' of teams like Chelski, Shity, Man U, Gooners or the other team on Merseyside.

Long live Answer Bank!
grass not sure what you're asking me. Are you asking me what the difference is between an agnostic and an atheist? I'm puzzled because I'm sure you already know that:-)
Spending a lot of time reading in R&S was what we made me move to atheism but to be honest I didn't have far to move. R&S made me think about it, seriously, for the first time in my life. But I really, really, wish it had happened sooner. Incidentally, I know I'm not the only one on here who has done the same. Thanks for asking gc.
I don't know the difference. I looked on Internet and was even more confused so hoped you could explain.
I wouldn't say my views have changed, but I have had my horizons widened by reading the views of others.
It has opened my eyes to how some people actually view the disabled and less fortunate. It's quite upsetting to know that many would see us in the workhouse or some such place.
I had previously thought that most people were less judgemental.
I think some of my views have changed but only a little directly from this site. It's probably had more of an effect on how I try to put those views across. I don't engage in political debate even half as much elsewhere. It's not a bad place to learn things that work, and things that don't. And even to learn things too.
Oh Daffy, yes - some comments fair take my breath away and I mutter ...walk a mile etc.
This was my first foray into the internet websites, and I think I was lucky to find AB (apart from the fact that Google points to AB crossword clues). Really unsure of responding to strangers but I feel as though I can come on here to chat with someone when I feel a bit down. I agree with DTC you never realise how lucky you are, several ABers are or have been ill and some no longer with us. I cried when fredkins passed away.....and I never knew him really.
Coming on here has reinforced the saying that people never fail to amaze me........
AYG, do you mean FredPuli43 ?
It's taught me not to take life too seriously (not that I had far to go anyway).

Gran, Fredkins is a lady (Freda). I don't know for sure, but I think she's still with us. At least, I sincerely hope so.
I'm sure she is.
Thanks Mamya. (I hadn't seen your 23.28 post when I posted the post before this post).
That's fine - FredPuli was a true character and very much missed by me(as are others).
I am sorry, my apologies to fredkin. I do remember fredpuli (sheepdog?) I miss him too, but there was someone else who was here who had a dog avatar who died I think Dtc knew of him or who to contact to find out how he was, he had a name something like fred.

Do you mean Owdhammer, ayg ?.
Yes tony. Thank you that is him. I knew it was an old sort of name. I've been racking my brain, I liked owd very much.
Thought that was who you mean't, ayg. Yes he was a great guy.
