You often read about these 'high class' prostitutes charging upwards of £1000 a night, what does a punter get for that amount of money, even if they did some back door action is it really worth paying that much for it?

I'd want my bedroom decorated and carpeted as well for that sort of money

Of course. I wouldn't know if someone was a prostitute or not. The ones I've met are street walkers only doing it to get their fix

I've watched programmes on it and honestly think that some provide a very genuine service. One lady used to visit a gentleman and they used to sit and talk, that was it.

For that money, you would be hiring the services of a very attractive, cultured and sophisticated woman who you could wine and dine in a nice restaurant or hotel with business associates, then retire to the bedroom where she would turn you inside out for an unlimited amount of time, and then leave discreetly in the morning.

isn't it like cars though. On my (admittedly comfortable) income, affording some cars that I like would be a stretch and not one that I am prepared to make. If money were no object though, that moves the goalposts.....

I absolutely agree.. It's just a sad profession when people who wouldn't usually have chosen the sex trade feel they have to resort to it and are selling their bodies for low amounts just to put food on the table.

It is sad at that level.

I remember a survey of the local prostitutes in my city, asking what percentage of them either had a drug habit, or worked to support a partner with a drug habit.

The answer was - all of them.

And they can't be too choosy about their clientele. Imagine having to perform sex acts on someone with very poor hygiene.
