Should Very Thin Models Be Banned From The Catwalk?
http:// m.huffp ost.com /uk/ent ry/8151 706
France has implemented a rule that models should have a BMI of at least 18 (which is bloody skinny to be honest).
When you see these ultra-skinny models, do you wince?
Do you get angry that young women are having this presented as a physical ideal?
Or, like me - do you think "This is no different from what Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton looked like in the 60s"?

yes we were just watching this in the TV -ultra thin models are neither attractive, healthy nor represent the 'normal' variants in womens sizes. France is taking a stand and that can only be a good thing. Ultra fat models are just as bad -why can't models be a size 12 -14 which I would think represents more women than a size zero
I wince more at the blooming ridiculous clothes they have to wear.
Don't know how you can judge whether people are naturally thin or not. I work with people of a wide variety of sizes, including 3 very skinny people who eat no end of 'rubbish' food, and do no exercise (2 of them have also had children and were back to being exceedingly skinny within a matter of weeks after giving birth ).

SP...I can't hope to speak for most men in Britain, but I would to suggest that girls like these might be popular on the catwalk !

Its seems that women wear clothes, not to attract men but to make other women jealous ! I might have that wrong of course, but perhaps women need to stop and think that curves are rather nice but bony, skeleton figures aren't.
Everytime I see people like Posh Spice on the telly, I just thinks they look as if they could do with a good feed !

Most catwalk models are not attractive, and not just because they are very skinny. They are merely clothes hangers and I don't believe most girls look at them and decide they want to look like that. There are many reasons for eating disorders to develop. Having said that, it can only be good for health of the models if there is a ban on very skinny ones.
