/ I'm not Religious but I'm also glad I'm not atheist or agnostic as these seem to be the most contemptible and dogmatic of the lot. /
Did you read what you wrote?
Do you know what atheists and agnostics are?
Retro, being your usual charming self again I see, please explain how agnostics and atheists are contemptible...if you can manage to give the matter any thought whilst typing blindfolded and with your brain out of gear.
jomilf -I am not rising to your obvious goading. If you require a lesson in charm I suggest you read some of your own posts. You must be having a bad day, I'm not -I off to lunch with the ladies now.
IF you get even further bored this pm try looking up Paganism, which is a spiritual Belief, not a religion -this may, just may help you along the road to comprehension vis a vis the post you seem to think was written 'without a brain'
I'm an agnostic, but I have nothing at all against Christians (that's big of me isn't it!) My Dad, bless him, was a Christian and he was conviced when he died that he was going to 'the Lord'. If it sustaned him in his dying days, who the hell am I to disagree with him and indeed ayone who holds these views??
I wouldn't want to keep living forever, no thanks !
Retrochic; Not all atheists are bullies, but for some reason, the AB ones seem to be filled with "passionate intensity". I think it might be helped by the cloak of anonymity, but largely results from a feeling of insecurity as a result of wandering for too long in the dark and lonely void of atheism producing a requirement for mutual support, barely noticeable among the religious and agnostics.
"The best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity".
That's the thing to do retro, trot of with your lunchin' ladies and avoid facing the contradictions of your statements. Paganism is a theistic religion ...though you may not have realised that. So you are either religious or contemptible…..your words, your choice.
\\ The best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity//
This describes theists, not atheists, their faith replaces a lack of conviction and "the worst are full of passionate intensity" speaks for itself.
I'm off...I think I'd better stick to my resolution made yesterday, not to venture out of Chatterbank unless I have a "serious" question and even then, I've been chastised for chattering and being pleasant and friendly :(
Retrochic, //Naomi -Why can't you actually answer the OP rather than just picking the bones out of someone's beliefs. //
I’ve not seen an answer to the OP from you. You’ve slung a couple of questions at Goodlife, but no answer to the OP among them. Put your own house in order.
//are you the anti christ or something? - what on Earth do you expect to gain//
Khandro, // .....largely results from a feeling of insecurity as a result of wandering for too long in the dark and lonely void of atheism producing a requirement for mutual support, barely noticeable among the religious and agnostics.//
