A yob threatened me with a knife about a month ago. I've got it now, it's in the shed. His arm is still in plaster.

I am unlikely to be the target as it seems the majority of victims are teenagers. Having said that if I carry a weapon I am breaking the law so have no intention of being up in court for that (oh the shame and embarrassment I would feel as thousands of people note their ex teacher is in court!) I don't want to lower myself to the level of teenage street criminals and neither do I want any weapon I may carry used against me..........the latter being a very real issue if you are infirm IMO
