When Jesus Christ was on earth, he gave his listeners a lesson in observing signs and acting accordingly. He was talking about something of far-reaching importance. The Bible reports: “The Pharisees and Sadducees approached him and, to tempt him, they asked him to display to them a sign from heaven. In reply he said to them: ‘When evening falls you are accustomed to say, “It will be fair weather, for the sky is fire-red”; and at morning, “It will be wintry, rainy weather today, for the sky is fire-red, but gloomy-looking.” You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but the signs of the times you cannot interpret.’”—Matthew 16:1-3

I don't follow anyone, theland. Including any of those, I just think for myself. And pure common sense says that a god (any of them) don't exist. However many people have desperately tried to prove it, they just can't.
You seem unable to understand that most adults don't need to follow others. They think for themselves. So all your post is on the wrong track entirely.
Nailit - God exists whether you believe in Him or not, and no matter how many believers you attack for their beliefs.
You seem to look for some kind of reassurance that your atheism is confirmed and safe.
If you are happy with that, stop torturing yourself with a war on believers. It won't work.
You have shown that you have enough information on the essentials of Christianity to make a decision.
If you don't want to make that decision, fine by me, but please stop attacking simply to show off.
I really am not impressed.
Pixie - fair enough.
Theland, from your post at 20:44, are you claiming the bible is "proven"? Or did you just forget to add it onto the list?
//God exists whether you believe in Him or not//
The irony....
Pixie - as far as I am concerned, the bible is proven to my satisfaction.
That isn't "proven" theland. It just means you choose to believe it. Proven means truth and facts- and then it would be Science, not faith.
And history and archaeology and written records, and much more.
Then the Big Bang, abiogenesis and evolution are all faith, because the science falls down and relies on faith.
Still not proven theland...
Science never relies on faith... just the opposite. It requires facts and proof and keeps looking for them.
Theland to Nailit, //please stop attacking //

Only two people on this thread have attacked anyone - you and Khandro. Stop playing the victim.

Do you have an answer to my question yet?
Naomi your question.
Using logic I can eliminate the claims by science on a universe from nothing, life from inert chemicals, and evolution.
I am left with the explanations in the bible which make sense and appeal to logic.
If you study ID what can you disagree with?
You can't just "eliminate" science, theland. That is the closest we have got. It may not have all the answers (what does?) But at least it actually requires truth, rather than preference.
Pixie - no I am not so silly as to eliminate science.
Science can only go so far, and continues its research.
But look at the immoral spin offs from Darwinian based science? Mass murder through abortion as human life is downgraded. Suggestions from scientists for euthanasia for disabled children.
A moral vacuum with no objective certainty.
A very frightening scenario.
Naomi - let's pick up on the science. What exactly do you object to in the field,of Intelligent Design?
The fertile arc-shaped basin is home to nearly half the country's population, and the river that feeds it provides Egypt with 90% of its water needs. But climbing temperatures and drought are drying up the mighty Nile – a problem compounded by rising seas and soil salinization, experts and farmers say.17 Feb 2019

For Nailit.
speak the language of Canaan;
the Hebrew language, which continued from the time of the confusion in the posterity of Shem, and in the family of Heber, from whom Abraham descended; which was not the language of the old Canaanites, though that was pretty near it, but what the Jews now at this time spake, who dwelt in the land of Canaan: but though this language is here referred to, and might be learned, as it is where the Gospel comes, for the sake of understanding the Scriptures in the original; yet that is not principally meant, but the religion of the Christian and converted Jews; and the sense is, that the Egyptians, hearing and embracing the Gospel, should speak the pure language of it, and make the same profession of it, and with one heart and mouth with them glorify God, and confess the Lord Jesus: and when a sinner is converted, he speaks a different language than he did before; the language of Canaan is the language of repentance towards God, faith in Christ, love to them, and all the saints; it is self-abasing, Christ exalting, and free grace magnifying language; it is the language of prayer to God for mercies wanted, and of praise and thanksgiving for mercies received, and especially for Christ, and the blessings of grace in him; it is the language of experience, and what agrees with the word of God: and in common conversation it is different from others; not swearing, or lying, or filthiness, or foolish jesting, or frothy, vain, and idle talk, are this language; but what is savoury, and for the use of edifying:
See Nailit, you could do your own research couldn't you?
Nailit - Book of Daniel - read Nebuchadnezzars dream.
What do you think it means?
Where is the question in this post? It is just a quote.
