I am sure you will tell us with the accompanying bible quotes.
I don't believe in god, so I don't think god comes into it at all. Do you believe that your god forgives wilful sin? I thought that most christian faiths believe that most sins are forgivable, but I think the Catholics have a category of sin against the Holy Spirit, which is not forgivable. I must say that I'd have no respect at all for a god that does not forgive mistakes.
To get the clear biblical answer you'd need more detail, hass the person who has wilfully sinned fully repented for example?

It's too baldly framed a query.
i guess it depends on which god, what that god's church says about it and what the person believes.
could you please define
willful sin
and
mistakes
and please confirm the difference between the two
and if ever the two could be the same
and which one you require the answer to
and why ?
because he tells us in the NT he will
why? - - for love of God - pun intended

look this is stuff we were doing in RE at age firteen
Aren't all sins willful?
// willful sin
and
mistakes

willful is intentional - you have a will but not for good but SIIIIIIIINNNNNN!
and yes if you have the spirit of contrition and redemption then your sins will be forgiven

there is quite a lot of lee way in this
O God make me chaste ( = a good boy) but not quite yet - - Augustine of Hippo ( and TTT tells us hippo means massive, here is it the massive appetite for young girls hur hur hur) - and he got to be a Saint !

mistakes I dont think are sins
She said of the baby - it was a mistake but only a little one. er OK but usually not
you know - erm arguable

Roman Church - church of sinners ! - come and have fun. Some are too great sinners and too often for the Church - Diana for example ( Hume refused her conversion) but the rest of us can pass under th bar
// 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.//

or as I might say

πιστός ἐστιν καὶ δίκαιος and it is as the label says: he is faithful and righteous,
ἵνα ἀφῇ ἡμῖν τὰς ἁμαρτίας - - in order that he leads us ( away from ) sins ....

yup seems OK - unlike some of Thelands paste it quotes - which are all over the place

thank you for that _ I wdnt have read 1 John otherwise ( er read and translated that is!)
-- answer removed --
No need to be rude.

Why does it matter to you what others read?
okay
scenario
you marry a person of the opposite sex
you have three children
who all grow up fine
then you have grand children but one of them is ill
all the family is tested as a suitable donor
it is then discovered that you married your brother/sister

is this still a sin ?
will God forgive you ?
what morally should you now do ?
Unless you knowingly married a sibling then I would say it was not a sin.
but danny now you are knowingly married to a sibling ?
What does your moral compass tell you to do Johnny?
stone them ?
Your wife/sister?

How odd.

That's some compass you have there.
Then you either ask foe an annulment or divorce. If you continue with the marriage then it would be the sin of incest.
Does anyone believe in original sin?
Johnny, if this worries you so much then I would suggest that you ask for clarification from someone in whichever church you belong to.
