Do they have access to the tv that we see? I imagine the majority do not or even have tvs. But some must be wondering at the huge aid to getting out of Ukraine did and does not apply to their leaving Afghanistan. They must feel abandoned and wonder why same help is not available to them.

Yes - but the Ukrainian army & civilian militia are standing up to their invaders. What did the Afghan army & its people do?
Also it’s ok for the west to occupy and push out a government it doesn’t want in Afghanistan.
But Russia isn’t allowed to the same in Ukraine.

Just saying ….
//Also it’s ok for the west to occupy and push out a government it doesn’t want in Afghanistan.//

The Ukrainian government is a democracy, the same could not be said about the Afghan leadership. They are two completely different sets of circumstance.
"What did the Afghan army & its people do? "

The Afghan army lost 70,000 men and women fighting the Taleban, as it happens.

However, the situation is hardly comparable. Ukraine thank goodness borders 5 friendly countries.
Afghanistan doesn't.

Oh dear ...
The Russian have invaded another country so a different situation.

The taliban are operating in their home country and for years there was military presence there from UK, US etc trying to do what they were out there to do. And then pulled out.
One may see similarities in the two situations and think the west reacted differently, but in reality the situations were different.

The Taliban government was supporting terrorism by refusing to hand over the terrorist leader Osama bin Laden (and I think we all recall the Twin Towers incident in which he was a prime cause). Consequently the Taliban were attacked and removed as an unacceptable power in the world. But the west, whilst withdrawing prematurely, and without US consultation, nevertheless had to go at some point. One can not occupy, for the benefit of the population there, forevermore. However there is no parallel with Russia/Ukraine which is clearly just an empire building grab by Putin excused by nonsense from their apologists.
