I wonder if he has read Matthew 19.24 which reads:-
‘It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.’

I did it up and then moved a couple of times, doing up each house in turn. I never did it to make money, just to give my kids space to have a bedroom. I have now ended up nearly a millionaire (not quite!)
I haven't become a professional religious person, and I find that sort of living rather distasteful.

I must have missed the part where earnings from earlier in life had to be handed back in order for a person to change career and work in a church.
I know I shoudn't get involved with nailit and his petty jealousy over his particular lot in life but too late, I have.
If at all possible could we be spared a rehash of your own holy roller adventures? Thanks.

Just heard from friends that Richard had a lovely last service today. Attended by his many friends and people he's helped during his years of ministry.
I'm an atheist and believe folk can help others without being a Christian. However, that is how Richard chose to live his life for the past few years and he's done it well.
And no, Nailit, not all us atheists and unbelievers are freezing cold. I've been on my own since I was fifteen years old. I've worked hard to give myself a good life with one short blip I admit (not my fault). But I've done it and am now having a very good retirement with no money worries. You should try it instead of twittering rubbish.
Oh I'll add. He wasn't living in a near million pound house when he was a vicar.
