i think people are scared of what they dont know and i think a lot of people try to use islam to justify their mental illnesses for example i think of islam and think no bacon no beer no drugs and some people think of islam and think of 911 but in reality the religion has a lot of good going for it and if you want to focus on what is said in the koran about gays women and drugs and stuff then just read the bible and if you want to compare religion then christianity has a lot of pedophilia involved with it and no one bad doesnt justify another but what it shows is yinyan in all religious text //
I think that is about the size of it.
People can, and do, fight wars over their differences with regard to a superior being, and what he may or may not want them to do, or not.
I have no problem with anyone putting forward a convincing, and I do mean convincing, argument that Islam is intent on taking over the world, but I have yet to see, read, or hear one, either on here, or anywhere else.
As I have opined many times, if all Muslims hated the West so much, they absolutely have the numbers and the wherewithall to destroy us any time they choose.
The fact that they don't, there is no mass uprising of British Muslims, there is no 'takeover'.
There are insane fanatics who create mayhem which has its exact intended outcome, causing yards of media coverage and suspicion and fear among the population.
What I can;t be doing with is the doom-laden nonsense we see here all the time when this religion is discussed - and the high-handed pronouncements and sniffy dismissals from those who claim to 'know' all about it.
It is Groundhog Day - i should learn not to fall for it.

naomi - // AH, you have indeed 'opined many times' and you've been wrong just as many times. They do not have the numbers, nor the facilities, nor the organisation. //
That will be another of those sweeping statements I was mentioning.
If Islam wanted to take over the world, they would not ne foolish enough to start a conventional war.
How may daily 'Twin Towers' scenarios do you think they could whistle up if they felt like it, and how long before The West folded if they did.
Of course they have the numbers, the facilities and the organisation, if they chose to use them.
The fact that they don't only underlines my constant point - that a few thousand terrorists do not accurately represent the thoughts and feelings of millions of Muslims.
It's just you that thinks like that, why, I have no idea.
