I don't advocate murdering any of its adherents and in any case it is far too late to try to do something about it now. But I would simply have begun by refusing to countenance the construction of any Islamic religious buildings in this country and strongly advised those who followed the religion to try doing something more useful and less damaging (to their own wellbeing as well as that of others).
As you might have gathered, I'm not particularly tolerant of religious adherents or their churches. I see no place for any of their organisations in this country (or for that matter anywhere else in the world) at this time.

Oldandconfused, //Fear of the unknown?//
For that to work, logically it would follow that a similar mistrust would exist for Buddhism, Hinduism, etc …religions of which little is known by the everyday Westerner - but it doesn't. Again you have to ask 'why?' I think it more likely that Islam isn't 'unknown' insofar as it demonstrates good reason for suspicions to be raised.

Fear of the unknown?
Islam may be unknown to you, but many (& a few on here, including myself) have read the Koran & have lived within Muslim enclaves.
I look to the future of Britain & Europe & fear the KNOWN, not the unknown.
If you don't know of what I speak try Douglas Murray,

It's not Islam that is the problem, it's maniacs using it as a cover for their murderous intentions, pretending to be following a book.
It's a pretty slim excuse at the best of times, but it entirely served the Crusaders, when they wanted to go and wage war elsewhere.
Terrorism works because it preys on fear, and mistrust, and ignorance.
The terrorists have done an excellent job in creating and sustaining all of those in Western minds.
It's just a pity that the huge majority of people who actually follow Islam peacefully, are tarred with their brush.
But that's how ignorance works.

naomi - // AH, Yet again there's a familiar pattern emerging here. You argue this subject, tell anyone who disagrees with you that they're wrong, invariably tie yourself in knots, and finally resort to personal attacks. Doubtless you'll be re-introducing your favourite author next. There's some side-stepping going on but it isn't coming from me. //
Can anyone else smell burning martyr?
You really shouldn't try and play the victim card naomi, far too many people on here know you far too well to fall for that.
