When Does An 'Ordinary' Muslim Become An Extremist?

We're often told that there is a difference between 'ordinary' Muslims and extremists, so ignoring those who call for violence and Islamic domination as they march in support of Palestine, but thinking only of the Muslim school children and their parents and supporters who are making news by intimidating students into adopting the hijab, to observe Islamic fasting rituals, and to withdraw from some school activities because they are considered 'haram';   the student who is battling her school in court (at the taxpayers' expense) for the 'right' to pray during school hours, the protestors outside schools, causing one to close early in order to protect staff and pupils, and those who are threatening teachers to the extent that they fear travelling on public transport, one of whom is still, after a very long time, in hiding.   The people who are responsible for all of this carry on their regular everyday lives living among us.  Are they 'ordinary' Muslims - or are they extremists?

Sorry.  That wasn't to any of the last 4 postings above.

Lottie - my 7305 days is an answer to the OP

When Does An 'Ordinary' Muslim Become An Extremist?

Its a good a answer as any given in this

Question Author

^I agree with that.  We've not had an answer.

What actions by a believer in support of their perceived religious observation do you regard as extreme?

Peacefully demonstrating with placards against a school rule - not extreme.

Issuing threats of violence against said rule givers - extreme.

Thank you, dave.  At last someone who isn't dancing around the question.

Naomi, Dave answered his own question above,  not your question.  Your question was badly worded.  Daves was clear.  Noone was dancing around your question.  I certainly wasn't.

Oh I see Helen.  I thought it was a secret code that meant something.

Question Author

No?  I haven't seen an answer from you, lottie.  I'll try to remember to make it very simple in future.

We've been through this before, Naomi.  If you had posted what Dave posted this now very boring thread could have many answers.  But you won't admit it.

Have a nice day.

Question Author

Those who were willing to address the issue frankly understood it well enough, lottie.  Bye bye.

Ps    your question was just another dig at Muslims  Imho.  You've been at it since October.  We've seen a  very nasty side to you.

well seeing as we have come this far we might as well try for 500

Not what you were saying earlier Naomi

Oh you're back, lottie.  Attempts at character assassination are more suited to the pettiness of Chatterbank - but you understand the question now so how about an answer?

Man 'threatening people with crossbow' shot dead by police in southeast London | UK News | Sky News

Carrying a crossbow is extremist behaviour. I have no idea about this blokes background...on this instance, I say, well done the police.

Dave has answered his own version of the OP, which is pointless.

Naomi applauds him for 'not dancing round the question'.

True. He hasn't 'danced round' it, he simply ignored it, and said something else entirely!

But naomi is so pleased to get anything she can pretend is an answer to her unanswerable question, that she thinks it's wonderful.

On that basis, the answer is -

'The square root of the dark side of the moon.'

It's as useful as anything else in Naomi's eyes. I look forward to her gushing praise any minute.

Star wars or mod wars. :0))))

Nice Bloke - Mods post as AB'ers, subject to the Site Rules, like everyone else.

Their Mod status doesn't come into it.

andy-hughes, //Dave has answered his own version of the OP//

No he hasn't.  He's outlined the difference between 'ordinary' behaviour and 'extremist' behaviour - as per the question.  Carry on dancing.

Naomi  I gave answers to your question as I saw fit.  I will not be giving answers to Dave which is far from what you asked.  If Dave posts it I as a question i will answer.   I see Andy thinks much the same.  As for character assassinations on chatterbank.  I do not do that.  We've seen a very nasty side of you is not a character assassination.
