Im posting this in response to some of the answers ive received about the arrests and convictions of the people behind the pedo ring in england.I said 700 others are guilty but im told they may be innocent.Or worse that its just market forces!!!!! Ive condoned torture of paedophiles in another post to get the information needed and any other info they might have too. Im sure in the case of ian huntly that a bit of electrocution wouldve helped him confess alot earlier.So hed have suffered but would that hurt as much as those two wee girls parents hurt whilst waiting to find out about them? Im sorry but the things those guys did and the videos they swapped were evil and i think anyone taking part in swapping them or even in condoning or at worst trying to excuse their behaviour is out of order.
I cant belieev that folk can even argue the point .

I found the word play very funny and apt given the clever connection of many and debating. Am I not allowed to show my appreciation in some light hearted banter - are you an arbitrator on AB for what is and isn't allowed?
By the way apart from providing other posters with amusement as your incomprehensible and often illiterate rant emerges, what have you constructively done to protect children from sexual abuse?
I am curios on 2 counts, one as I was a victim of child sexual abuse and two I have spent 26 years working with children who are in need/at risk. Consequently I have worked with hundreds of victims of abuse and their families. Only they could comment on how helpful the help and support they have received, I am just wondering how helpful you think they would find your rants on AB are?

sorry to hear of the pain you ve had to suffer, but to the comment earlier about torture, its a well known fact that people will say any thing to stop the amount of pain that legend is on about . I would prefer the police force to get the right person and not imprison an innocent which has happened in many cases.

Paedophiles need to be effectively removed from society permanently. This should be reflected in the sentences handed down by the courts. Some offenders can be helped, but these really are a very small percentage. Central Government needs to be sensible and properly fund suitable therapy for those offenders that can be helped; and for helping those children who have suffered at the hands of these deviants.
The trouble is that because of the righteous indignation generated by this topic it is difficult to have a rational and thoughtful debate on the subject.
There has to be a solution but until the 'hang 'em, flog 'em' brigade can be made to shut up and think more deeply about the matter, little progress will be made.
It is far too simplistic an argument to state that 'if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem'. Not wishing to see the perpetrators dead does not mean that we in any way condone their actions !
We owe it to Holly and Jessica and all those other damaged children to ensure that their protection is paramount, surely ? However unpallatable the solution is, if it keeps children safe then it HAS to be better for all.

Jak, you seem to be very well informed and some times i wish i could come across as diplomatic as you. your right in the fact that it does get people very emotional and you do need to take a step back but i can see that legend is very angry about this subject, i wonder if he/she has had experience with this, i would hope not.

If death was the ultimate penalty for paedophilia then by extension the first thing that would happen is that there would be an upsurge in the amount of children killed. A dead child cannot tell.............but nor can a dead child provide the release of sexual tension that would build up in the paedophile later. A serial paedophile would develop into a serial child killer............

i believe they have the death penalty in other countries and im not sure that paedos there are serial child murders.

Paedophilia CANNOT be cured. The identification of children as objects of sexual desire CAN be unlearned if the offender is given the correct sort of help. There are many reasons why adults behave inappropriately with children and the umbrella term of paedophilia is used to fit ALL these circumstances. It is not always the case.
But it is very difficult to try and sort out the degrees of being a 'nonce' due to the anger and revulsion the subject provokes.

Legend, when did hanging ever deter anyone from anything? You think there's no crime in China or the USA, where they put people to death (usually the guilty ones, but not always) all the time? I don't think, from reading your posts, that you're really thinking of deterrence at all, but of revenge. And revenge for crimes not committed against you is none of your business.

It is the failure as a mother to protect her child that is the biggest crime and for that there is NO penalty. The men involved should have got life. No arguments. And when the other men involved are found they should be given life, too.
