Who remembers the 60's and mini-skirts?
24 Answers
We were more than likely a more religious, more family orientated, community based society with less obesity, binge-drinking and stabbings, but that is irrelevant to my questions.............
which are...................
1) Were mini-skirts initially only worn by sIags or by those wishing to express their new-found femininity and/or sexual freedom.
2) Did fat birds wear mini-skirts in the 60's like some of the tubby ones nowadays wear cropped tops with no dignity?
3) Did parents cuss and complain about mini-skirts?
4) Were you allowed to wear mini-skirts to school?
5) Did they cause a rise in wolf-whistles in public?

LOL-IaP...you saved me from giving the first hand account.......I loved my minis-we all wore them. In HS in the States we would be measured by kneeling on the floor...our skirt hem had to touch the floor--if it didn't it was too short.
And hotpants??-I remember once, when taking a job as a graphic artist in an ad agency-I phoned the Art Director and asked if I could wear my hot-pants.....a bit cringe-making now!!
He said yes..haha!
