The thread that I posted re. the video that muslims found offensive enough to justify murderous rampages around the world seems to been removed. Perhaps the Ed. would do me the courtesy of explaining why. As far as I know the UK is not a muslim state and sharia law does not govern our lives. I know it is a good idea to be polite to a madman when he is waving a sword at you, but it hasnt quite come to that yet has it?
If I can't have a debate about a current matter of serious concern, can I at least have a trouble maker badge.

why don't you email Ed and ask him, jomifl, or post in Ed's Blog where there is more chance he will see it.

Ron I don't think a mod (if there is one) would get away with that if Ed didn't agree, Ed has the final say I bellieve on what gets pulled. Mods are supposed to be impartial, and as jomifl says, this is a discussion thread.

There was an arson attack on the home of a publisher who planned to issue a book, 'The Jewel of Medina,' which featured the Prophet and his child bride.
More serious by far was the murderous attack on Theo Van Gogh in Holland.
These are potentially dangerous times for proponents of free speech.
Perhaps the residents of AB Towers have come to the conclusion that discretion is the better part of valour?

Just to make things clear, I do not read the Daily Mail and I am a devout atheist but the Christian religion was drummed into me as a child and I still like to argue about it and other religions. I think the drumming in was probably one of the reasons atheism is so attractive to me. Come to think of it some people say I will argue about anything.

Is the removal of your video proof that this is closer than we thought?

It certainly looked as though this uprising is spreading to other parts of the world now, perhaps discretion is the better part of valour as far as those fanatics are concerned. On the other hand why should we put up with this behaviour here?
