The thread that I posted re. the video that muslims found offensive enough to justify murderous rampages around the world seems to been removed. Perhaps the Ed. would do me the courtesy of explaining why. As far as I know the UK is not a muslim state and sharia law does not govern our lives. I know it is a good idea to be polite to a madman when he is waving a sword at you, but it hasnt quite come to that yet has it?
If I can't have a debate about a current matter of serious concern, can I at least have a trouble maker badge.
So perhaps we should not have a topic called religion and spirituality, if all the threads are going to be withdrawn without explanation. And what about Christian sensitivities - will any thread about that be withdrawn? Sorry to be contentious, but - as the saying goes - what's sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander.
Though I disagree with (what I see as) media-inspired anti-muslim hysteria, I think these threads shouldn't have been pulled.
Debate - no matter how heated it can get - is a necessary process, warts and all. Life isn't a fairytale.
What you have to realise, jomifl, is that AB is not democratic. Your subject may be ultra current and topical, but if Ed gets the notion that it's too controversial, it gets the hook - Seemples!
"AB is not democratic", yep and it's full of Daily Mail readers - those are the precise reasons why my visits here are sporadic. Shame really - it's a great site otherwise.

Don't be silly. We all know that it's because you've lost your handbag!
