Birdie@ Nice to see you looked at the site. I did not take it from there although it seems very similar.
But when you quote scriptures it will be. Rather than blame God why don't you look at what he is going
to do to rid the earth of such acts. To God time is not as we see it. His thoughts are higher than mans
and whatever he says he is going to do he will do. Man is impatient and we want things now. When God
removes the wickedness it will be once and for all time. Incidents such as occurred in America last week
will be unheard of. Weapons will no longer exist. All those who lost their life will have a hope of an resurrection.
You may scoff and ridicule, but regardless of your attitude, there may still be hope for you yet.

Of course not. I deplore such actions. But as I said to Birdie, I look forward to the time when God
steps in and eradicates such actions. All those children, and the many in other incidents, will have a hope
of a resurrection. It is this hope that is part of my faith. And one reason why God has allowed so much
time is to prove that mankind cannot put an end to such actions as it states in Jeremiah 10 v 23,

The Bible tells us how much God loves to hurt children. He tells that He smashes children's heads together and enjoys watching. He instructs the Hebrews to slaughter every man woman and child in over thirty tribes. He instructs to cut the unborn babies from the wombs and kill them in from of their dying mother.

This is the nature of the God that religion tells us to worship.

We have been waiting nearly 2000 years for the return of Jesus when God is going to stop all the wicked things happening. It was supposed to happen "soon", even back then.

How do you know what his reasons are?

God has patiently allowed people thousands of years to try many times over all the kinds of governments they could think of. Not one has brought permanent blessing to its subjects. These have been starved, impoverished, oppressed, victimized by religious, racial, national and economic prejudices, heavily taxed to support corrupt governments, and have been diseased, crippled and killed by centuries of senseless wars waged by greedy and power-mad rulers.

No honest person can contend that given more time men could have established a righteous government. Over and over again it has been demonstrated that ‘it is not in man that walks to direct his steps.’ (Jeremiah 10:23) Also, repeatedly proved is the fact that no human rulers were in reality gods able to predict the future, even of the governments they controlled.
