Birdie, if my post upset you I apologise but that is why I said for Christians only as I knew what answers would come from the non believers. Why did you open it?
As for the site not working this way - I have seen many posts on here addressed for the attention of a particular Aber!!!!
Also, it was posted in Religion & Spirituality not on the main page.

MrsLulu, Do you really think that’s beautiful? Really? Can you not see what’s being done here? Have you not noticed that Christianity unashamedly exploits the human potential for compassion? From Jesus’ lowly birth in a stable (which didn’t happen), to the guilt, grief, and anguish of the horrendous ‘passion’, the whole lot manipulates your mind by playing upon your sympathies and upon your human weaknesses …. and it works. If this child’s disabilities were exploited in any other area of life, any thinking human being would condemn it without hesitation – and rightly so – but religion considers it ‘beautiful’. Can you not see the anomaly there?
I agree with Birdie. The exploitation of this little boy and his disabilities is utterly shameful.

Originally I played it and almost immediately thought it was a hoax and turned it off but after reading Mrs Dunns post I thought maybe I had missed something and played it through.
I'm sorry for the brainwashed parents and the boy . I know that many parents of disabled children are in a state of denial and go over the top in love and affection , trying to prove to the world and themselves that their child is not disabled but just different.
No it is not beautiful , far from it. Fortunately the little boy is unaware of
the delusion.

This is what separates the 'wheat from the chaff'. Believers will see it as beautiful, moving, etc. Non-Believers see it as exploitative and offensive to use a brainwashed autistic child to bolster their religion. I have to say that I had very mixed feelings watching it, eventually disgust won and I turned it off.
Mrs Lulu This OP was addressed to the Christians Only which you said was because you knew // what answers would come from the non believers.//
But what about all the believers ?
The only people I know who would exclude everybody apart from Christians are the narrow sects , especially the Americans.
However amongst the active Abers in R&S there are at least 20+ who would define themselves as Christians but so far they have refrained from answering your post. Why do you think that is ?

modeller, perhaps most of the Christians are out enjoying the good weather, or perhaps they know that anything they say is likely to attract the usual litany of "fairy tale", "deluded", "indoctrinated" and the like.
As for the video itself, no I haven't watched it, it's really not my kind of thing. But has it occurred to anyone that the lad might actually enjoy singing and might actually like that song ? I realise that notion may be difficult for some people to understand, but it is a possibility.
