Is Anyone Here "between" Religions?
137 Answers
I was asked the other day what religion i am and i had to pause because i was "between" religions so was temporarily religionless.
So far i've tried christianity, judaisam, buddism and islam but i was left baffled, confused, empty and dismayed by the hypocritical nature of these paths.
I still haven't found what i'm looking for in a religion which is the truth. I've had a look at scientology but this appears to be a far out cult.
At the moment i am between religions, yes i believe that we were created by god, gods or even aliens and i want and demand the truth.
What can i do and where do i search for the truth? Can anyone here hand on heart recommend a religion to me as the emptiness and the fact that i could be missing out on enlightenment is killing me.
Thank you humbly in advance.

Usually those beginning to learn God’s truth come under some form of attack from God’s enemy, who tries to discourage them. Often it comes in the form of opposition .Jesus Christ told his followers to expect this: Matt. 10:34-36.
But that question was posed to Jesus by the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate. He was not interested in an answer, and Jesus did not give him one. Perhaps Pilate viewed truth as too elusive to grasp.—John 18:38.
The Bible, written under divine inspiration, reveals truth that provides both reliable guidance and a sure hope for the future—everlasting life.—2 Timothy 3:15-17.
Or you can be like Pilate indifferently rejected the opportunity to learn such truth. What about you? Why not ask Jehovah’s Witnesses what “the truth” that Jesus taught is all about? They will be glad to share that truth with you.

Which is difficult because those who speak false truths come under attack from the followers of God no doubt?
So how is one to know who is speaking God's truth and who is not?
Oh thank Goodness Goodlife will tell us!
That's a relief!

Religion and truth are direct opposites.
Religion is about accepting dogma despite evidence to the contrary. It can only bring delusion but never enlightenment.
If you really want enlightenment then take a look at scientific knowledge and you will see that there is no need whatsoever for anything remotely resembling a god to create the Universe, much less us.
Your mind has been poisoned by religion into thinking that what mortal life gives us is not enough.
You need to deal with your sense of emptiness in practical ways. Get some friends and have a good time. The highlight of my life is my weekly music session with my very best friends where we conspire to make sounds of intense beauty. None of us believes in religion and our lives are certainly not empty.

goodlife. Perhaps you could try to take an objective look at the "inspired" works of the Bible.
They teach that women are inferior beings. The ultimate solution to world peace is the destruction of everyone who disagrees with you. Homosexual people (like cloths made of mixed materials) are an abomination.
The Bible is a load of hogwash but it is true that it does have something to offer us. If we put them all into the recycling bins where they belong, millions of trees could be saved from being cut down for paper.
