What Do The Faithful Have That The Rest Of Us Don’T?

With no explanation, Goodlife is constantly telling the ‘poor’ atheists here that they have nothing – and today Khandro said exactly the same. I'm curious. Just what is it that these chaps think they have that the rest of us lack?

CG.....So much evil is carried out in the name of a God who doesn't exist.
Were I to find out that there was indeed a God I'd be sickened that he would allow people to suffer as they do...in his name.... Would I worship such a being? Not on your life.
And don't mention giving man free will.....no-one worth their salt would sit back and let that happen.
Even as a brain washed child when I did believe, I questioned his cruelty.

Khandro, with your continual efforts to deceive the reader by purposefully demonising the perceived ‘enemy’, you’re quite clearly another who worships at the altar of the god of spite. There’s a lot of it about around here. I haven’t misinterpreted anything, and your unqualified statement …..
//Everyones take is different, - except of course, the poor atheists, who have nothing.//
… which echoes Goodlife’s frequent and equally unqualified bleatings warrants its own thread. I would like to know why you two – and those who think similarly - consider atheists, who have no belief in any god - so no great revelation in your latest bitter ramblings - to be ‘poor’ – and that is something that, as far as I’m aware, has never been answered.
From you to gness; //I understand your concern, and agree with what you are saying, - and so would God if it mattered to him, but it doesn't.//
If it doesn’t, then shame on him! But how do you know it doesn’t, and what qualifies you to speak for this God? When his representatives on earth mete out psychological torture (which to a Catholic the prospect of excommunication is) on his behalf, it ought to matter to him. Where are your principles? Apparently non-existent – just like his – and just like those of his faithful followers who, in the belief that they will be spared death, willingly choose sycophancy over integrity.
Cannedgranny, you’re mistaken. My arguments are, I hope, considered, and for reasons that should be obvious to you (see above), I rarely find religion amusing.
Gness, //I am very black and white, Shoota.....and I hate...hate injustice.//
Me too. Much love. x

I see all atheists have doubts, God has touched the mind and heart of many former atheists.
You take fear in Bible, It says:Trembling at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected. (Proverbs 29:25)
Hope you see with these words the ancient proverb alerts us to the kind of fear that is indeed a mental poison—the fear of man.
It is likened to animal, who like to run away.
Yes the Bible does say: Be in fear of God. (1 Peter 2:17) But with much more wholesome fear, It is the kind of fear that a child may feel for his father, even though he loves his father and knows that his father loves him, even that is someing lacking in the world today.
Yes in the fairy-tale world of atheists, neither the advances of science nor the failure of religion need force us to abandon belief in a Creator.
You ought to examine why.
So far go with the one with A good sense of humour.

jomifl; //Possibly because there are more atheists than believers subscribing to AB?// You might be right, perhaps Ed. would conduct a poll?
I think though it's more likely that people who are 'other than atheists' just don't want all this aggression.
Take this OP for example, what is it other than a rabble-rousing call? simultaneously showing bad-manners by quoting 3rd persons out of context -and inaccurately.
