Whatever the ins and outs of this and whether people care or not, the fact is that Halal-style slaughter would never have been countenanced had it not been for religious requirements in the same way that Sikh motor cyclists would not have been provided with an exemption from the crash helmet law but for religious requirements . i am sure he wasn't, however the encroachment across the globe of Islam is not necessaries to be welcomed, but quite frankly its too late. our politicians are PC, they won't stand up for the people who say they don't like this,

I've read the last few posts that appear to suggest that we in the post-enlightenment West are reconciled to being outbred by Muslims and other pre-enlightenment religious factions who they assume will fight it out for the dominance of this country at some stage in the not so distant future.
As someone who has dedicated his life to trying to help animals and reduce their suffering I cannot afford the luxury of letting that happen. As far as I am concerned humans can be their own advocates, they can even rise up and fight to protect their country from incursive belief systems that are in almost complete contradiction with the values and beliefs the people of this country have fought long and hard to protect until our politicians apparently decided to allow us to be eventually replaced by your kind.
My patients are not human, they cannot be their own advocates even though they live and breath, struggle to survive and raise their offspring just like we all do.
When I was in Cairo I saw a man slitting the throat of a goat tied up outside a shed. That was bad enough but there was another goat tied up right next to it getting his friend's blood sprayed over him. The Jewish version of god also appears to require avoidable cruelty to the animals they eat. To me you and them are one and the same- god's chosen people lol!
As a veterinary surgeon I am ethically obliged to have nothing but total contempt and repugnance for what you do to animals. It disgusts me.
