Believers often accuse atheists of having something missing because they are not interested in believing in deities. The evidence points to the opposite as many believers appear to be searching for something that they cannot find yet most atheists seem to be content with atheism and complete in themselves spiritually.

jomifl; Surely you can come up with at least one of your 'accusers'.
I've just looked at the recent posts on R&S - 11 come up, and from those, 9 are questions by 'axe-grinding' atheists, one I don't know (about her son) and the other from goodlife, who isn't accusing anyone of anything, but simply making a statement about something he believes in.
So where are all the accusers causing you so much anguish?
Question Author
Did I say they were all on AB?
No, didn't. Neat escape! :-)
Question Author
I occasionally get these moments of divine inspiration :o) I hope you didn't waste too much musical transcription time plodding through my AB history, something I can't be @rsed to do.
jomifl, have you been denounced from the pulpit as a Godless atheist by the local curé?
Question Author
Sandy, strangely, he didn't suss me as an atheist, I had to tell him. He is a good dinner companion and has no problem with evolution (as a concept probably). Soon to be retired I suspect.
Clochemerle sprang to mind, for some reason . Were there atheists and priests in that?
I'm not convinced that it's possible for anyone to be both Christian and to have "no problem with evolution" unless you don't understand at least one of those things properly.
jomifl; Well if these accusers are not on Answerbank and its not the priest, do the locals come up to you dans la rue and say "Monsieur Jomifl, j' accuse! - vous manqué quelque chose"? it must be awful, no wonder you don't go out often. :-)
It certainly is awful. Imagine having someone come up to you and conjugate their verbs incorrectly?
Well, as far as we know, jomifl hasn't been subjected to a charivari from the faithful. :-)
Question Author
Jim at least Khandro didn't mispronounce it ...unlike the locals, but then I don't think they claim to speak French.
Question Author
Sandy, the charivari is tomorrow, the festival of st Noé. The Priest will preside over a baccanhalian revel in the streets, drink will be taken, heads will hurt, such fun. I bthink I might not go out.
jim; actually my auto spellchecker has a mind of its own if I try to write anything other than English. 'vouz manquez', peut-etre, and before you tell me, don't be a further bore, - I know there is a missing circumflex.
Question Author
Jim, agreed and the corollary the scientists who are christian is a difficult concept.
I don't normally go for pedantry, at least not any more, Khandro -- I just couldn't resist that one time!
Question Author
No worries Khandro, usage of accents is disappearing in France, too tricky on i-phones I guess.
jim; :-)
jomifl; Thanks for your support, - if you think the local argot is bad there, you should try living in Swabia. But you still haven't told us who these pesky accusers are.
Question Author
usually smug self righteous christians Khandro, their name is legion.
Damn these Christians! I really feel for your suffering.
