The Bible also permits rape. It isn't Islam that is the problem per se but the entire suite of hideous Abrahamic faiths.

"out of sight out of mind?"
That's usually the case for me. I will live how i want to live, Muslim communities can live as they wish to live. They're not an enemy, simply a neighbour. Why i should bother thinking about them for even 1/100th of my time I do not know... Regardless what goes on. It's their issue that they need to sort out if there even is an issue? I'm not a Muslim, i can't criticise, condemn or even praise anything about them. I certainly won't be offended on someones behalf.
Walk a mile in my shoes n all dat.

naomi - // The word of Allah is indisputable. //
Clearly it's not - which is why there are millions of Muslims doing what any sane person does who wants to follow a faith - taking the bits that work and living with those, and ditching the nonsense.
It works for Christians, why should Muslims be any different?

I am reading a book set in the time of the Crusades and, in those days, churches were filled with priceless treasures on public display because people believed that, if they plundered churches, they would burn forever in the fires of Hell.
Christian religious belief has been used here as a powerful tool in the past, but we are more secular now. Don't know if this will ever happen to Islam. We can only hope.

It will not be too long before an "accommodation" is made for Muslims who do not want their children taught about alternative relationships. The influence of Islam worldwide is alarming and "Infidel" governments are bending over backwards to accommodate this pernicious, invasive religion.
I do not contend that rape will be legalised "because of Allah". I couldn't, because I have no recognition of Allah. What I'm saying is that what works is Islamic countries will come to Europe lock, stock and barrel. It won't happen tomorrow, or the day after, but unless European governments get a grip of themselves, it will come.

Naomi - // AH, I never make things up. //
Your sense of self-importance is getting in the way. Clearly by suggestion to 'make it up' was offered to any individual who likes hurting and killing strangers, and feels the need for a justification so they can live with what they do.
// Read what the Islamic scholar (who I suppose according to you also zeroed in on the word ‘Allah’) has to say. Why don't you believe her? //
I haven't read what she said to be honest - the fact that she is speaking as a 'religious scholar' automatically precludes me believing that the say of the week has a 'y' in it if she said so, never mind anything she may want to say about religion.

and reading muslims demand full legal protection from Islamophobia
what this says to me is, one cannot critcize or debate without bing arrested, this plays into the hands of the likes of the all those roatherham gangs who were arrested and like minds, who perhaps have not been caught yet, and the ones who give tacit approval.
and we are not like you and never will be, exclusive without question
looking for a better way to phrase what i mean..

Oh but it is. You’d be very hard pushed indeed to find a practising Muslim who would tell you the word of Allah is in error or wrong. That isn’t, if course, to say there is an obligation to rape which is why most Muslim men don’t. //
You know as well as I do that human nature trumps any religion, any day of the week, and the natural course of events is for individuals to reach an accommodation that suits them, and for the majority, that involves an interpretation of their holy tome that they can work around.
That applies to any religion, anywhere in the world - why do you find it so hard to accept that - the evidence is everywhere
