With the UK heading towards being a Muslim country by 2050 (probably before). Which of these alternatives would you prefer to live under?
The choice though, as things stand, appears to be hypothetical, I'm afraid.

ummmm - // That's what people do. Mix with your own. //

That was undoubtedly true when going to the next town was a big adventure, and people lived and died without going fifty miles away from where they were born.

But the world is not like that any more, and we have to make the adjustments.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Islam is waging a war against the world, & winning nicely, but it isn't a war with tanks & conventional hardware, it is being done by stealth. On every organisation from the UN to your local school's board of governors you will find a Muslim presence. Cressida Dick is proud of the fact that she has 300 police officers involved in "hate crimes" while innocent people are being stabbed in London.

If you are unaware of what is happening & if you don't listen to the few people* (more & more though now) or read books on the subject, then I can't help you.

* Douglas Murray's , The Strange Death of Europe.
*The video of Mark Steyn which I have posted above.
* The videos of Hamed Abdel-Samad.
and more.

Here's a fuller version of the above link which is actually nearly 10 years old & the situation is even more advanced , but do you want to hear ? Probably not.;
Khandro - // If you are unaware of what is happening & if you don't listen to the few people* (more & more though now) or read books on the subject, then I can't help you. //

Like naomi, you assume that you know better than I because you choose to view the world in a certain way.

And like naomi, I don't need your 'help', and I don't need to be patronised either.

Your assumption that your view of the world is the right one is just that - your view, I don't share it, so shake your head, tut, and move on, nothing to see here.
Andy - did you not read the final sentence of my post?

We made more money, we moved. Now our old area is a Polish/Romanian area....and they have started moving too.
This entire thread goes along way to explaining why I don't submit to any organised religion, nor consider myself atheist. The believers here feel victimised, to the extent that RC felt uneasy declaring his beliefs (good for you BTW mate, I genuinely hope your faith brings you comfort) and the atheists feel swamped by other forcing their opinions upon them.

The only people with mental health issues here are those who base their opinions on a person's spiritual belief. Thank you all for cementing my agnosticism.
AH, //you are once again being arrogant in assuming what I know or don't know with no evidence beyond your own superiority complex.//

I don’t assume. Your posts on this subject illustrate very clearly your complete ignorance of it.

//If you feel 'attacked', don't bother to tell me about it, as you are keen to advise, your problems are your own.//

Oooo … a sure sign of a failed writer. Plagiarism. ;o)

//Like naomi, you assume that you know better than I because you choose to view the world in a certain way.//

No, AH, Khandro and I don’t ‘choose’. Khandro and I read and listen - and learn. Your failure to do that is your failing - and it shows.
naomi - // No, AH, Khandro and I don’t ‘choose’. Khandro and I read and listen - and learn. Your failure to do that is your failing - and it shows. //

Once again an assumption based on what you think you perceive in my posts.

And once again you confuse me with someone who actually cares what you think about Islam, me, or anything else.
Oops ...that smacks of ...smarting. :o)
Andy - although I think Naomi is OTT...have you educated yourself on Islam as she suggested? So you can actually debate instead of saying you don't care?
Andy, you don't 'arf comment a lot for someone who doesn't care.
No need to worry, after Brexit, Boris has Ethnic Cleansing as the next priority.
Ummmm, I’m OTT because I get tired of explaining the same things over and over again. All of it is available to anyone who can be bothered to take the time to look - and those who consistently argue what they don’t know very clearly can’t!
-- answer removed --
Andy - If you look into it carefully, and listen to the lectures available on YouTube, there is enough stuff there about Islam to scare your socks off.
I'm not arguing with you, Naomi.

Retro, imo, was bang out of order, but there gets to a point when you can no longer say 'I don't care' or 'lets get back on topic' when you haven't read anything about the topic.

There comes a time when you have to just bow out.

I will not believe that the Muslims I know wouldn't condemn the atrocities that have happened in their name both in public and private.

But back to Retro...I don't think many people could read the things he writes without feeling irritated, stalked and quite upset. And it's happening more and more often.

I would never post anything about a mental health problem, a health problem or a family problem....because of people like him. That's not in the spirit of the site, people like Retro, and that annoying little gnat, are ruining it.

Better give up naomi, the prejudiced have no problems forming their opinions as they feel no need to understand the facts.

Back to the OP. Those of you saying you wish to live in an atheistic society, please show me one where it has been tried & it worked.
Khandro, I’m guessing you’re thinking of Communist societies. In so doing you’re conflating religion with politics, but Islam aside - because Islam is political - that’s a mistake. There is no reason why a society that doesn’t espouse religion but does espouse democracy and freedom cannot exist and thrive. None whatsoever.

naomi; //There is no reason why a society that doesn’t espouse religion but does espouse democracy and freedom cannot exist and thrive. None whatsoever.//

The you will have no problem in giving an example.
Since the world has been busy paying lip service either to religion or to communism there are no examples that I an think of, Khandro. That doesn't mean it wouldn't work, does it? Does it really have to be either/or?
