Lots of online vids suggesting so....

Starvation and famine.
War & rumors of war?
Earthquakes,
Nation rising against Nation,
(Matthew 24)

And then we have Revelation and its
infamous 'Beast' system. 666 etc. (Ch,13)
(Everything from the bar codes to smartphones to chip implants have been cited)

1) Name me a time that there has NEVER been a time of
earthquakes, famine, wars (Or rumours ) or nations rising against nations?
2) what is this infamous number supposed to be?

All the numbers of a Roulette wheel add up to 666.
Are we supposed to mean that Roulette players are
Satanists?

The Barcode thing...
The bars are spacers (nothing more),
Stop making stupid sh** up

And now, threats of world war 3?
Where in the Bible did it predict 3 world wars?

Answer...NOWHERE!
It predicted jack.

The interesting thing about an apocalypse is that, if there is one and we're all wiped out, there will be nobody left to say "I told you so".

There’s a point in the question if it’s something people want to talk about.
naomi; The title is ;Are We Heading Towards An Apocalypse Of Biblical Proportions?
"Biblical Proportions" is simply descriptive of severity. It's in everyday use.

Don’t stop with the heading, khandro. Read the rest …. carefully now.
Never be resolved, will it.
Why are you quoting the Bible again when you're an atheist? Get a life.

//There was no need to wrap this Q around the bible though, was there.)

Errr. Yeah?
Because this question was about Biblical prophecy...
Thought that I had made it clear in the heading and the fact
that it was posted in Religion and Spirituality?
Have I missed something?

I can quote what I want thanks...
Get a life yourself.

I think that we can all safely ignore Khandro for the cherry picker that he is....
Jark Jark do you hear duh bells Jark?

(Klute: auditioning for a part in St Joan. In the film silly!)

Nailit this is eschatology ( thinking about the Last Day and or Days). thinking about poo-poo is something else. My auld English master wrote a book on this - Joseph Rhymer(*) - eschatology. I have a copy if anyone wants to read it - - He examines every single reference to the end of time in the NT. One is pretty tired by the end. and also convinced that the early christians thought the end was pretty near. Big change at the Council of jerusalem AD60. Are we Jews or another religion?

(*) bad romans were poonied by being made to teach young teenagers English - - you know: the cat sat on the mat, etc
I like my post:
at least it is about the end of time. ( hugs himself and smiles a knowing smug smile usually found on the faces of OTHER ABers)

Nailey - only christians read the Bible....I dont think so
(but I do know I lead a life difft to uvva ABers)
Apocalypse - in my lifetime? I sincerely hope so, definitely don't want to die alone!

(Yellowstone super-volcano should go off soon - well in the next 100,00 years)
Oh, I should ask- why the '66'? Was that a typo Lol...
yeah the A666 runs from Irlam to Bolton and we call it the Route of the Beast !

Someone has mentioned 'Q' . We do know it stands for "Quelle" and is one hypothetical source document for the three ( er synoptic) gospels? Mark first = marcan priority and so on. Remember early Paul is earlier than any Gospel. God this is all a bit technical for AB ! (Cue eerie X files music - doo-doo-do do etc)(then cut to Mystic Meg because the beeb is full of marxists)

I blame the introspection and where has she gone questioning after the death of the Queen

Biblical - biblos ( er any book I think)
Apocalypse - we do know ( as Naomi says, my god he googles fast!) that it comes from apo kalupto (*) I reveal I disclose.
so within the terms of this thread, since we are using apocalyptic in a metaphorical sense, Khandro is allowed to, too ( wiv Biblical)

The clue is 'Revelations'
(*) the aor pass my dictionary reminds me is ap-eh-kaluff-theen

keep on mettering boys and girls ! ( using metaphors silly!)

//Nailit this is eschatology//
Im quiet aware of what eschatology is...

//Nailey - only christians read the Bible....I dont think so//
Eh?

(but I do know I lead a life difft to uvva ABers)
You certainly do!!!
No question,
//(but I do know I lead a life difft to uvva ABers)//

In what way?
There’s a point in the question if it’s something people want to talk about.

eek people READ the Bk of revelations? - those on AB who can read of course! - and then read of the four horse men,
and wonder if the horses' names are Bobbity, Death, Silver and Bongo? and so on..... yeah OK if you say so

if so read Rhymer

rather obviously metaphorical to me, but hey this is AB !
a difft life of meditation and prayer
well I have read Rhymer for a start
Yeah Nailey - you are post-Christian
and have returned to the question - "what it all about den?"
I thought about taking up meditation -well it's better than sitting about doing nothing innit.
//Nailit this is eschatology//
I'm quietly aware of what eschatology is...

yeah quiet OK, so quiet no one can tell - ( bushels light etc)
signed - The Scarlet Woman !!!! - ( insert kissy kissy icons)
