What question? Evolution is sound science. Creationism is religious superstition. Which one do you want to question?

That is the question..... Which do you believe..... Evolution or Creation?
You Believe Creationism ,you do not believe Evolution you accept it as the best theory we have,But you are willing to accept a better one.

I just wanted to hear a few opinions on the matter. Some believe in God and Creation, others believe in Evolution.
I believe in God and creation.
We have proof of evolution, but I don't think that's the whole story. It's hard to believe that everything came from absolutely nothing - but if there is a creator, the question is who created him/it? Perhaps evolution only kicked in after original creation - and perhaps the creator is eternal, although eternity is a difficult concept.
It's a pretty boring question, really. Nobody with any sense seriously believes in a creator god any more.
Jenstar: since when did the biggest question in life become boring? No one knows for sure how the universe began. We can only theorise.
jenstar>/b> is right. People 'believe in' creation because there is nothing to support it except belief - it is a personal decision to accept something that has no rational basis.
One doesn't 'believe in' evolution any more than one 'believes in' electricity, heavier-than-air flying machines, penicillin or pictures by radio. It does not need blind faith, just reason.
I think naomi has widened the question. I don't think any evolutionist believes that life came from nothing. The best bet is that very primitive life came from the coming together of the necessary chemicals. As soon as it could reproduce, later complex life arose automatically and inevitably due to the evolutionary process.
Oh dear, the bold has locked on again. Sorry. Quite unintentional.
You know me Chakka - I always widen the question. If we're talking about life on earth, then it's feasible that it evolved from a combination of the necessary chemicals. However, if we're talking about the creation of the universe, we have to ask where those chemicals came from. We can go back as far as we like, but in the end (or in the beginning(?)), there is no answer, because nothing comes from nothing.

(ps How are you getting on with the quiz? I have 15 to get - and still no calf!!).
From nothing to nothing. Thats all folks.
Yes,naomi but the question was about evolution, not the origin of all things.
Er.. I think I've got about 25 to go yet, but it's early days. I like to take my time and enjoy it. I hope you took my advice about No. 26: ignore the satchel.
I dont go with the Evolution theory happyred. If we evolved from apes, why are'nt we still evolving? Think about it:-)
ne2... we are still evolving. You can see this in a very simple way if you compare the average height of humans beings over the last few hundred years. We are (on average) much taller now than we were in the Tudor times.(ever been in an old Tudor house...you have to duck under the doors).Evolution doesnt occur in a matter of days.
and we didnt evolve from apes either, that is a myth perpetrated by creationists.Humans and apes had a common ancestor but man did not evolve from apes
Chakka, the question was Evolution or Creation? The questioner didn't specify any more - and ok, thanks, I'll ignore the satchel.

Wizard, I agree. I don't think man evolved from apes, but there is a common ancestor. A bit of genetic engineering perhaps?
hey, naomi...you goin to bring up Ezikiels chariots again.lol
Maybe our cosmic ancestors had a packet of mixed human seeds and sprinkled them on the Earth, added water, some fertiliser and TLC. the rest is history.
Hi Wiz - no, don't think so - even though I think it's the answer, there aren't many who can get their head around the idea - except maybe Luna! :o)
