Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

I really am very often impatient to post and so the word document goes to the bottom of the pile ..... and then I get disappointed. But how do I post a fancy link into a word document? Eh? Eh? Eh?
Anyway, consider these three overlapping circles.
If each of the circles represents our own particular view and experience of reality, then the area where the circles overlap, represents our shared view and experience of reality, making possible cooperative progress and shared ideas, but retaining an exclusiveness that remains unique to us, and that uniqueness is not always something we are entirely aware of, but something the sages and poets and philosophers allude to in their mysterious wanderings through inner space.

Theland, Try these:
The link doesn't go hyper until you key a space after it. Just as it goes hyper key in Ctrl+z and the autoformatting will be removed.
Alternatively if you are planning to make it a hidden/titled link, paste the link after typing the prefix thingy you should now be quite familiar with: <а hrеf=
Problemo solved?

Theland, Over-lapping circle thing . . . brilliant example! I would also suggest that as long as we do not stray unduly from the area to which we share a mutual understanding based on common experience, relating to and learning from each other will tend to broaden the area subsumed by the over-lapping portion.
Mibs, once again thank you for the tutorial, which I will have to study, probably tomorrow afternoon, or even Friday.
Like Naomi, I too am busy dashing around, but unlike Naomi, I'll tell you why, because I bet you are dying to know.
Well, I'm trying to do magic tricks with the finances, as well as trying to get a job. Virtually every shop I go in to I'm asking for vacancies. So far, Boots, Homebase, Poundstretcher and Sports Direct all hold out some promise, so I'm off to the GP in the morning to get signed off, and go on to job seekers allowance, and then ......... hopefully land a job ..... Chief Executive of a multi national ......... Open heart surgeon .......... film star ......... wheelie bin inspector ........... diamond studded flunky to some posh git with more money than sense ...... oh the list is endless.
Then I sat in front of my bank manager today and persuaded him to lend me 1500 to get a few jobs done in the house, on the promise that I really will be working soon, (oh you've got to be optimistic and hard faced haven't you?) Just hope I don't default!
Life is getting dangerous and exciting ..... and I don't think I like it much!

Theland, I include my funny links in a Word document, and it works. I'm lost with technology, so I can't explain why. All I know is if you type it all in the right order, and include your links, it works. Let's hope your future posts don't disappear!! Whoosh!!
And I like your circles too.
Everyone feels the pain when things go wrong. You are not unique in that, Theland, old chap. It's true - things could always be worse - and I suppose your faith does give you some kind of confidence and courage - but being the intelligent person you are, you must know, deep down inside, that only you can deal with the issues that present themselves throughout life, and that your God is merely a not so innocent by-stander who will do absolutely nothing to resolve any situation. He never has, so why continue to expect him to suddenly come up trumps? If you were true to yourself, and could get to grips with the realities of life and take responsibility for yourself, surely you would admit that apart from being something to share a quiet and, perhaps, a spiritual moment with, he's a great disappointment.
Still with Theland. When is your interview with that legal company?

China, why are you getting tattoos? Of course, it's up to you, but personally I think they are rather trashy. However, the nicest I've seen was one girl with a little tattooed butterfly on her shoulder - very pretty - and someone with a few stars (in ever diminishing sizes) on her foot. There's a lady at the pool where I swim every morning who has tattoos up her arms and legs - and it looks just awful. What about going for those tattoo sticker things that aren't permanent? At least that way, if you change your mind, you aren't stuck (sorry!) with it. (Good luck with the job, by the way. Let us know how you get on, won't you).
Mibs, I wonder if we should have the courage to stray from the common area? Perhaps if we do, we will be exposed to thoughts that, so far, elude us?
Luna, are you merely watching us, or are you back in the fold?

YESSSSSS! 1100!! That little minx, China, didn't pip me at the post this time. Ha!! Heels just a little bit too high this time I suspect!!
Theland, why are you borrowing money? Naughty! Bad idea! The country is in dire straights, prices are rising, life if getting harder, and all that. But perhaps I'd better shut up before you start worrying about it. Just don't - that's all, You really can do without. (Incidentally, if there are any vacancies for a rock star who plays Puccini, and you happen to get the job, I might even throw my knickers at you!).
I would tell you why I'm dashing around, but I wouldn't want to go into details of the intricacies of my personal life. It really isn't that interesting to other people - and I would far rather discuss religion.
My parting thought. Do you think this could be the longest thread on AB?
Night, everyone. Many kisses to you all. x

Congratulations to Naomi on grabbing the 1100 prize trophy!
Sorry to say, that the solicitors didn't get back to me, so I guess I was being over optimistic, and trying to fight above my weight, (Ooooooh! Bad analogy there - I'm piling on the pounds!)
Yeah China! No tattoos! It's been voted on and you lost! So there!
(If you're desperate for decorations, I bet Mibs could work a bit of magic with his quill and ink well, and maybe draw a couple of interlocking circles on your bottom. Nice for the beach!

A Taize service.
Some years ago, when I used to attend the local C of E, the vicar organised a Taize service. All new to me. Taize, a community founded by brother Roger in France, an ecumanical community. He was stabbed to death just a few years ago, aged 90, by a maniacal woman at one of his services.
Anyway, our church was decked out with candles, there was lots of chanting and very eerie music, but all very beautiful, and very relaxing. I suppose it gave one space and focus for reflection, but there was nothing in it that was particularly Christian as such, but if you ever get the chance to attend a Taize service, it is worth it, just the once, for the experience.

Brother Roger founded the ecumenical Taize community in France during the WW2, (I think), and it became a focus of ecuemenical activity for international youth.
I met people who went there and met him, and apparently it was quite an experience.
The last time I saw him on TV was at the funeral of John Paul 2, and sadly, he was murdered a few months later.
The Taize service is all about prayer and meditation, but I am no expert on the subject. But it was an enjoyable experience.
The Taize community is still going strong, but who is in charge of the running of it, I don't know.
