Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

Well, come on you two. How did it go?
Oh dear, I'm not out of the woods. My medical history is now on paper for their perusal. Jusy hope it doesn't put them off.
The work was very hard and physical, working in the engine room of a car ferry called the, "Arrow," overhauling heavy valves.
Technically, it's well within my capabilities, in fact, I'm not too impressed with the senior engineer supervisors. We're doing some jobs their way, when my way would be quicker, cheaper and less wasteful. But who am I to argue? I'm only there for the money.
conditions are awful. Hand washing facilities only, no showers, so come home filthy.
No canteen, and hardly any tea making facilities, and my "changing room" for donning overalls boots and hard hat, .......... is a nail in the wall and a green recylable Asda bag!
Rough and ready and basic and primitive it certainly is.
But at 10.75/hour for a 59 hour week, I'll have to stick with it.
Got a letter from Tesco, nothing doing but my name is kept on file. Here's hoping for the future.
Now I've showed you mine, so, China, show me yours!
Oh, Theland, It sounds awful!! Do you HAVE to do 59 hours a week? Can't you do less? You will keep applying for other jobs, won't you?

By the way, did you get my email?

China, how did you get on?
Naomi, No, no e mail, but a P.M.? Yes!
59 hours is the norm in this job, and considering I did regular 72 hours in my last job for a few years, and before that, 84, and before that 92, (20 hours on a Sunday), and did it for years until the European Working time directive came in, and got my employer flapping about work/life balance and health and safety implications, well 59 sounds like a part time job to me.
It's good to have dirt under my nails again, and cuts to my hands, and know that I am not on their stingy miserable benefits anymore. That alone is worth it.
Never sail on the, "Arrow," because I'm fixing it, and you never know ............ disaster!
My disabled son, George, had his last operation about two months ago. Afterwards, the operation site became inflamed and full of a rash, then the rash spread over his whole body. The doctors were puzzled and didn't know what to to do.
He went to his GP who accurately diagnosed, "Scabies," a mite that is caught by usually skin to skin contact, but, (dirty hospitals?)
Anyway, this horrible itchy infection has now spread throughout the whole family, and I am just out of the shower, and covered myself in the prescribed lotion.
How awful, and embarrassing.
I guess that means no sex for me now.
(Off the hook again!)
So there you are, if you get a red itchy rash, and start to walk sideways, you have caught cyber crabs from Theland.
China may have got into trouble on her first day for wearing the wrong uniform.
So maybe her boss sent her home to dress more appropriately.
Wrong China! Wrong!
Ah! That's better!
Meanwhile, Mibs is thinking about reason.
How unreasonable!
Goodnight
Hey!

Sorry I didn't write yesterday how it went but I got home and was uttely exhausted so I just had my dinner and went to bed... How lame is that?! My day went well, everyone has been very nice to me so far and the work doesn't seem like complete gibberish to me.. Partly gibberish though! I've yet to meet all the Consultants (two Mr's and a Dr) that I work for so that's a bit nerve wracking.

Theland - I'm glad it sounds like you're settling in to your new role tloo.

How's everyone else? I'm off to change out of my habit now!
That's great news, China. I'm so pleased you like it.

How did your day go, Theland?
More cuts to my hands, and whilst trying to split a nut and bolt with a hammer and chisel .... I missed, and caught my hand, now a ruddy great bruise as well!
Knackered doesn't even begin to describe how tired I am.
Ship repair is a young mans' game I think.
China, good to know you are doing OK.
Are you the P.A. to protect the consultants from the public?
Goodnight all. My hand is throbbing!

Theland, No fair hitting yourself.

Try this . . . righty tighty lefty loosey
mibs, I don't understand that funny link you gave - the star. Am I being particularly thick? (Maybe you shouldn't answer that!). :o)

Spookily quiet around here now those two are working.
He's just taken the 1600 slot Naomi and is evidently pretty chuffed about it!

I don't understand righty tighty, lefty loosey tho.

Today they actually made me do some work... It's much better than talking at me! I even got to speak about VD just as I was about to go on lunch... So that was nice.
Oh, of course! I'm sooooo sloooooow. Must be my wonky foot! Congratulatons mibs!!!!

Lovely subject before lunch, China. Still, could have been worse - you could have talked about it after lunch!

After lunch I was talking about what the under arm skin is used for when doing a sex change operation (woman to man).... But I might stop talking about my work soon for fear of scaring Mibs, Theland and Luna off forever.
<<<< Will you look at the time! No wonder I'm losing at Bricks... Ahem
