Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

I did buy a "faith no more" t-shirt which I was too embarassed to wear once I heard the band perform. A little more fore-thought uh-huh would have bought me a few more rounds at the concession. What was I thinking!???
Fortunately they were only the warm-up band for Robert Plant who saved the evening . . . without any disco or rap I might add! . . . ~o">

Hi guys, sorry I'm late. Been snowed under with local politics - yuk! Brain damaging stuff!
so on to something lighter........I don't like the rap culture one bit - but I was forced to listen to a bit of rap a little while back, and the poetry wasn't bad. At least it wasn't about gangs, and guns, and knives.
Luna, I know what you mean. Why do kids feel the need to do that? Would I have done that as a child had such been the culture? No, I know I wouldn't. Would any of you? Moan, moan, moan .... kids of today .... grrr ... don't know they're born ..... in my day .... good clip round the ear ... send 'em iin the army .... nag, nag, nag. :o)

I'm fine thanks Luna, except too much to do and too little time.
Don't you think rap is more of a culture thing than a trend? Teddy Boys, Mods, Rockers, Punks, New Romantics were all about fashion and music of the time, but I don't think rap is the same at all.
Tigerlily gave an interesting account on your thread about her vision of the strange man in the doorway. I wonder what she knows now that she didn't know before?

Right, I've spent some time in the company of the illustrious Keyplus today - and most satisfying it was too - but now to some serious business. Brick-breaking. Since I've scored no more than about 120,000, I have decided there must be a strategy that works better than any other, so come on Mibs - it's bean-spilling time. Do I go for the big chunks first, or do I go around the edges picking off the odd lines or the odd two or three? Or do I pick small amounts out of the middle? It's a dilemma!
Luna, have you had a go at this yet?

Mibs, Talents duly harvested, and gratefully received - but I can't guarantee I'll ever be a worthy opponent! I think I'm too impatient with it. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Nether regions (or thereabouts) still playing you up then, Luna? What's the prognosis?
Where's China? And where on earth is Theland?

Sounds nasty. Anything wonky sounds nasty to me.
Thank you for asking. My wonky foot showed great improvement - until I did too much - and now it's wonky again - although not so wonky that I need to revert to the crutches - thank goodness! Hope it gets better soon. I fear that it may remain wonky, and hence, match my brain on a permanent basis. :o)

I saw a new thread from Mibs last week, which must by now be heading for page two if it's not already there, so how about using it as a "Sanctuary" when the lease on this one runs out at 2000 posts? Just a thought, and with the added benefit of still getting stars from His Mibbiness!
I'm only getting to log on about once a week due to work, tiredness, health, and family problems. And oh yes, accidents!
Another crash on my bike, right through the red and white fence surrounding some road works. I lay in the pit, with the bike and the fence on top of me. Fortunately, not as injurious as my previous accident, which is still causing me severe problems, haematoma in the leg, and "other parts" not responding to treatment. Another trip to the hospital, and was given more pills to take, and instructed to let my GP keep her eye on it.
Also, a torn muscle in my side from work! Ouch!

The blessings just keep rolling in!
It's as if I'd had a prayer posted in Jerusalem itself!
My accidents humble me, and keep me focused.
My GP has reduced my meds for depression.
My disabled son is much better, and has started a college course two nights per week, as well as starting a job in Asda, so he now has some structure in his life.
My pension provider from my last job wrote to say they owed me money, the lump sum was incorrectly calculate, and stuck 7000 into my account.
A 1000 loan I tried to repay turned out to be only 500.
The pay dispute in the shipyard is settled, so now i can work overtime and earn considerable more money, and help out the family ehre needed.
