anyone else can answer of course but I know they will have something good to say on this!

Righ as far as i know in the bible it is hinted at that homosexuality is against god? As far as i know it is not a majro part of the bible and only mentioned in a couple of paragraphs?(please correct me if i'm wrong!)

So my question is Why has it taken so much prominence? Why has it so heavily influenced our society and pretty much ALL society? IS humanity inherantly homophobic?

Would love to hear peoples opinions

Keyplus, ah, yet another change of direction. No you didn't say you have no right to object - you said you have no objection. You also said that you agree with a 'few things' from the quotes I posted - all of which condone the marriage of children to grown men.

As for the rest, my initial reaction was to assume you haven't understood a word I've said, but having reconsidered, I think you know exactly what I'm saying, and your silliness is simply yet another attempt to worm out of yet another hole you've dug for yourself. As Jack suggests, give it up, Keyplus. You're in that hole pretty deeply now and if you have any sense at all, you'll stop digging.
Perhaps Jack can answer the question I asked you then.
Homosexuality is one form of sexual activity that merits the death penalty according to the bible. Wasn't adultery treated as an equally serious sin.
If they're both of the same weight why do right-wing religious fundamentalists practically ignore, or even partake, in one(thinking of Iris Robinson, here) while ranting and raving about how sinful the other is?
Keyplus, if you want Jack to answer a question, I think it's only fair to ask the question again, because I don't know what you're talking about so I'm pretty sure Jack won't.

Sandy, hypocrisy is par for the course.
Naomi – on the other thread by Wyzard you said that you always answer questions but I have asked you few which you are avoiding. I still have a question at the bottom of the previous page that you have not answered.
Keyplus, do you mean this?

//About underage marriage issue. Do you agree with what I said or with what you posted?//

If so, I don't know what you're talking about. You've said many things, and I've posted many things, so perhaps you'd like to elaborate - and whilst you're at it, tell me which questions you think I've avoided.
Yes at least answer this question as you know what I said and you know what you posted too. So which one do you agree with?
Keyplus, you haven't had the courtesy to clarify your question as I asked you to, so I can only answer it as it stands. Here it is:

//About underage marriage issue. Do you agree with what I said or with what you posted?//

You said //If that 9 years old has reached to her puberty and mentally normal then I will have no objection if her parents marry her to anyone of their choice and with the consent of the girl. //

I don't know which of my posts you're referring to, but I don't agree with what you said.

Where are the other questions you say I haven't answered? I asked you to tell me, but you haven't had the courtesy to do that either. I could be forgiven for thinking there aren't any, and you're making it up - again.

Keyplus, if you want to enter into debate, may I suggest that instead of playing mindless games, you do it in an adult manner. It makes things so much simpler for everyone.

You know in sports psychology it is known as bluff and I am sure the same word is used in day to day life. Sometime people say things to demoralise you like “you are digging a hole for yourself”, “you have to come up with sensible things” and so much more. I have played cricket at professional level and I am very much used to this kind of stuff. But unfortunately you haven’t learned in long time since I appeared here. But then again you have people who give you big hand even for things that do not make sense so anyone can get carried away with that. Exactly as we see people on “British Got talent” looking shocked when Simon tells them that they are the worst singer he ever came across. Because they have been cheered up so much by people around them (for fun sake) that they in reality start thinking themselves a living legend. Same is the case with you.

All I said that you did not agree with whatever I said in the previous posts and then you posted something from an Islamic website known as Islam on line. Now let me out it as they do to nursery students.
1. Do you agree with what I said?
2. Do you agree with whatever you posted?
3. Or you do not agree with either of the two?

Now let’s see how far your intellect takes you.
Keyplus, Oh, dear. More insults, but that's clearly the best you can do, so never mind. Well, out of all that gobbledegook, I can only assume you're taking about my link to Islam on Line, so let's hope we've finally got to the bottom of what you are trying to say.

1. Do I agree with what you said? Well, what you said in response to that link contradicted what you'd said previously, so I can't make a judgement because you have offered two completely conflicting viewpoints. As I said, you can't disagree with your 'well known scholars' who promote child marriage, but then you can't disagree with Mohammed either, even though he, at least in this instance, appears to disagree with your 'well known scholars', so you're in a bit of a predicament there.

2. Do I agree with whatever I posted? I presume by that you mean the link to the Islamic website? I agree with the man who answered the question insofar as he condemns child marriage, but I don't agree with his reference to Mohammed to support his stance. No civilised person should have to rely on anyone, least of all an ancient 'prophet', to tell them that marrying young children to adult men is wrong.
Oh, and for the third time, where are the questions you say I haven't answered?
Problem is that the ancient prophet you are talking about told so many things then which your well known scientists are still working on.

But as this thread has gone to next page so I will leave it.
Keyplus, oh, come on!! Don't tell me you're ducking out without telling us what it is you think your prophet said that our well known scientists are still working on?

By the way, you still haven't told me what those questions you accuse me of not answering are.
How did I know that once I say this thread has gone too far then you would post a couple of questions here .................................Because or some earlier experiences may be. But then lets carry on

My prophet and Quran said so many things so for the time being I would only talk about one. Muslims believe there is life on other planets. Do scientists believe that? If they do then when did they find that out? Or are they still not sure?
Oh dear Keyplus. What a conveniently short memory you have. You know very well that other civilisations came up with that idea long before Mohammed existed because you've been told. Those damned Greeks again!! Or was it the Sumarians? Or perhaps the Babylonians, or the Indians, or the Chinese? Sadly, the Koran is not a revelation because it's all been done before.
But even a nursery child knows difference between philosophical idea and saying something as fact with authority like Quran says. And even for Greeks work world should be thankful to Muslims otherwise where was all that work during so called dark ages of Europe? who kept that work safe? Muslims.
Keyplus, Since you deny the Koran borrowed its 'facts' (including the errors) from earlier civilisations, aren't you contradicting yourself somewhat? If you took the trouble to look further than your book, you would find far more than philosophical ideas. You need to do a bit of research. I don't think anyone, except people like you, ever consulted the Koran to investigate science or anything else. Authority? Now that's funny!! :o)
You bet we did, but still you have rolled my question away. Where were all Greek philosophies during the so called Dark Ages?
Quran, Greeks, Hindu or anyone else. If all of them knew (or even copied from each other) everything then why do you people wait for the scientist in present time to agree with that before you accept it? That really means that scientists now are not doing anything new are they? It was all known to so many people. People who according to you and many more were nothing more than savages, uneducated and so on. Don’t you think that scientist should have listened to those people before wasting so much time and money.
Keyplus, I bet you did what? Consulted the Koran for everything? That’s exactly what I said people like you do. Shame really. So much knowledge at your fingertips, and yet you persistently reject it.

I haven’t rolled your question away. It’s been said before. No one here has ever denied that the Arabs translated the works of previous civilisations (well, we know they did because they included much of it in the Koran), nor has anyone here denied Islamic advances in mathematics, etc, but I’m not sure Islam has a valid claim to keeping all the works of other civilisations ‘safe’ throughout the dark ages. I think that could be just a little ambitious.

//That really means that scientists now are not doing anything new are they? It was all known to so many people. //

That has to be one of the daftest things you’ve ever said.
My response same as on the other post.
