Ratter - this particular topic's been asked before, the Bible (and the Qu'ran, where you also find Noah) doesn't suggest that the Holy Land was only occupied by the people in it, there were others living elsewhere.

Do you have a similar interesting selection from the New Testament by any chance ? Or is that bit of the bible to be ignored because it's just early propaganda for some guy who was around a couple of thousand years ago ?

The New Testament was pretty late propaganda, written well after Jesus had died.

Well Boxtops, I guess that since the ones which make up the New Testament, along with others, were all in circulation around 150 years after he died, they would have been written well after his death.

Then again all those marvellous Old Testament quotes come from documents written well after the events they spoke about too Still as they all relate to the bad stuff people get up to, I guess they tell us far more about god and religion that the gospels do. After all, behaving decently towards the people you meet and deal with as you go through life just doesn't have the same headline grabbing potential as the older stuff

Mummybunny, I have no reason to twist words. I was merely telling Dave (in case he wasn't aware) why you, as a self-confessed Christian, are one of the few who believe they ’ain’t’ going to heaven. And I didn’t stick the Jehovah’s Witness label on you either. You did that yourself the moment you posted links to The Watchtower.

Incidentally, if you think your God’s the good guy, you 'ain't' read the complete bible.
