Haven't been looking for a while, but apparently that hearing has been adjourned until 1pm tomorrow (7am local time) and is expected to last 1 hour.

That weasel Hicks has now lifted the Texan junction, it was just a ruse to give him more time to strike his own deal with Mill Financial. But have they passed the FA's fit and proper person test?
Question Author
the Texan junction not to be confused with Tuxedo Junction nor the Texan injunction
Oh, it is all so complicated - and hilarious.

Question Author
Yes it became risible at least a couple of days ago.

Probably won't stop me laughing at ManU when the US banks decide to follow the RBS lead and force the Glazers to sell up to repay their even more massive debts.
You should support a well run, British owned club like West Brom.

(Mind you, Jeremy Peace would grab the money off Gadaffi or Ahmedinnersbad if offered)
Question Author
Supporting Liverpool this season is going to be like supporting West Brom every other season - wondering all season if you are going down. The difference is that Liverpool will definitely stay up.
What's the future for you do you think?
Question Author
Apparently Hicks has now made a deal with Mill, so it's all up in the air as to whether they or NESV take over.

I thought the whole idea of the chairman being appointed was to bring about the sale of the club to repay the debt, and would have thought that the 2 London court cases ending in his favour would mean that he has the legal authority to carry on with the deal agreed with NESV rather than having to accept some last minute agreement foisted on the club by Hicks.

But it's in the fine print. NESV look to be the preferable option currently.
Will you be a permanent mid table team now? I suspect you will.

Possibly joined by Arsenal, and in a couple of years time, ManU.
Question Author
Would have to disagree with you about Arsenal, that club seems to have been set up properly and will continue to prosper.
You could be right, but they don't seem able to keep up the pressure for a whole season.

Someone broke into the Arsenal trophy room last night.

They stole a red carpet.
Right I'm struggling to keep up with this now, and am at work.

Bibble please could you let me know what the current state of play is? It seemed like good news this morning (well in as far as it goes anyway) but now I'm confused!
Question Author
It has now been confirmed that the Texas injunction will be withdrawn at 1pm our time (7am over there).

Hicks has now done a deal with Mill Financial so that they could take over LFC once all the paperwork has been completed and someone has been saying that Hicks would remain on the board in that case.

I still reckon that the NESV deal will be the one but that bstrd certainly knows how to mess everything up.
Question Author
Another twist - Hicks spokesman says that he hasn't sold his shares to Mill http://anfieldtalk.bl...okesman-confirms.html

it's deja vu all over again
Question Author
That's the trouble with the interweb, too much disinformation.

T'were so much easier back in t'day when you'd turn on t'radio at 6 o'clock to hear t'words "This is the BBC home service, here is the news"
Indeed. Thank you for the update, finishing work now so I will try to keep up with it this afternoon.
Just so long as Alan Green doesn't start commentating on what's happening.
Question Author
you are blooming right there

The latest online is that the FA have declined to allow Mill Financial to pass the Fit & Proper test without the backing of the Liverpool board, which must surely mean that it will be NESV since they have already been ok'd.

Only about 10 minutes till the madness kicks off in earnest.
