The festival starts tomorrow. Always a great week of National Hunt Racing. I have been looking at the runners and have narrowed the field. Well for me anyhow. I have listed below some of my 'fancies'.
Tuesday Wed Thurs
1.30 Min* Yanworth* Lami Serge
2.10 Douvan*&Vaniteux No More Heroes & Shaneshill Taglietelle
2.50 Ballykan Rock The Kasbah Vautor*&Dynaste
3.30 Annie Power* Un De Sceux* Cole Harden
4.10 Vroum Vroum Mag* Balthazar King La Vaticane
4.50 Local Show Frodon Limini*&Smart Talk
5.30 On Tour Bacardys Dr Harper&Ballykan
I will do place pots every day based on these selections but will be having a close look at a nice acca or a bet that includes 4folds upwards on the *selections. Bear in mind that Vautor holds an entry for Fridays Gold Cup and may not run Thurs at 2.50. I think tomorrow the bookies could be slated with 4 of those selections, albeit at small odds. On Friday I like Ivanovich Gorbatov but will wait for now. Plus Dr Harper that I have picked for Thurs 5.30 originally held 6 entries over the 4 days.
Sensible betting there ken. Although I would have a little e/w acca on the seven. You know..... if they all came in and you hadn't, you would pull your hair out.
My Wed picks are
1.30 O O SEVEN
2.10 VYTA DU ROC
2.50 BARON ALCO
3.30 SPRINTER SACRE
4.10 ANY CURRENCY
4.50 MESSIRE DES OBEAUX
5.30 AVENIR D`UNE VIE
I only got one winner tues so wouldn't follow my tips lol
^^
And, with nothing to show today for my research into the stats, today's free £5 is on Augusta Kate in the last. Mullins has won this 8 times; when he has saddled just the one runner, his 4 winners have all been favs but when saddling numerous runners, his 2nd or 3rd string have won.
Ahh well Panky. Yes it was great to see Sacre back to his imperious best. It made losing on the race almost a pleasure. Nick Henderson deserves a medal for his care and skill in getting the beautiful animal back to good health.
I did an E/W on Shaneshill which was a get away unscathed punt. I won £5.60 on the lottery last night and put it in him. Haha. I didn't know the ticket was a winner when I had it checked and thought oh well £ 2.50 e/w.
So true Togo, pity the haters don't see that side of racing, but they'll still be out in force for their once a year rant come Aintree in three weeks time
Completely bombed today but, like Arnie, i'll be back. Stats are, in the main, standing up; it's just that, having whittled each race down to a short list of 5 or 6, i'm picking the wrong ones:-( I'll put that right tomorrow, say thankee.
