Cheltenham Festival.

The festival starts tomorrow. Always a great week of National Hunt Racing. I have been looking at the runners and have narrowed the field. Well for me anyhow. I have listed below some of my 'fancies'.

I will do place pots every day based on these selections but will be having a close look at a nice acca or a bet that includes 4folds upwards on the *selections. Bear in mind that Vautor holds an entry for Fridays Gold Cup and may not run Thurs at 2.50. I think tomorrow the bookies could be slated with 4 of those selections, albeit at small odds. On Friday I like Ivanovich Gorbatov but will wait for now. Plus Dr Harper that I have picked for Thurs 5.30 originally held 6 entries over the 4 days.

Without doubt, my worst festival for about 20 years. The only horse i actually won any money on was Altior @ 4/1 - the festival's first winner!! Roll on Aintree:-)

The last race in the ppot let me down. A place from either would have paid me £336. Both placed would have paid me double. You know the rest, I did lump a Tenner on the first which was my focus all week and got 11/2 as it went out. Great festival once again, the usual nobeds capturing first day headlines for the wrong reasons, but it keeps the photographers in beer tokens. Roll on Aintree then Epsom, Ascot, Goodwood, et al. Hope to see many more of tem.
