Saturday Punt - 25 May 2024
We begin with the 2.05 at Goodwood, then flit between Haydock and York, before ending up at the Curragh for the Irish 2000 Guineas, which, on paper at least, looks to be a straight fight between O'Brien(Snr) and Hannon (Jnr).

ITV7 done and a couple of punts. ****E/W Acca Trebles and Doubles. Also done a little flutter on the Franny Norton rides at Chester. What has happened to the races there? Mostly all low runner fields. I wonder if the demise of Koukash and his patronage is hitting the attendance? I noticed that there stands were empty at the last meet. Good luck all.

Regarding the Chester meet; i think it is just bad planning to have 3 Northern courses all active on the same day, particularly a Saturday and especially so soon after the 3 day Boodles Festival.
Add to that the fact that the prize money on offer at Chester is, by and large, lower than at the other two tracks and you can somewhat understand the dearth of entries.
And, as i was busy typing this response, the first of my R Robin booked itself a spot on Blackpool Beach, this summer☹
