Another Manchester is blue thread with people too embarrassed to say who they support.

Probably a local blue who lives in Cardiff .:)
can someone tell me where it is written in law that you have to support a team where you live please,i have supported man utd ever since i watched george best i live in kent so whats the problem with that then??
by the way well done barcelona absolute class team !!
There is no rule which says you have to support your local team. However a lot of people 'support' ManU because ( at one time) they were unbeatable. They never make any effort to go to any matches ( and yes you can get tickets) and are typically glory supporters.
I found the post about catholic families in West Yorkshire interesting because OH family falls into the category, i don't think his family ever lived near Manchester though.
"Entire South Coast"? I don't see anyone distraught round my neck of the woods.

Rather than continuing your goading, wouldn't you find more personal satisfaction watching well-oiled Retiarii and Murmillones fighting each other ?

Manchester United were simply out-played last night.......there is no shame in that.
glory hunters tend to be supporters who change their affilitaion depending on how good or bad their chosen teams do. if man utd suddenly had a couple of bad seasons the glory hunters would be busy supporting the next best thing.

I noticed this happened with some liverpool fans when they were going through their bad times in the last two seasons
I'm glad Man U lost if only because diiggs and looney are dorks and fergie needs a kick up the jacksie for supporting them in their recent dodgy dealings.

My Oh supports Arsenal and we live nr Leeds. My granddaughter supports MK dons her home team, but loves watching Chelsea she's even got their shirt.
