I'm so looking forward to the programme becasue it's been the greatest sporting year in living memory. Unforgettable Olympics and Paralympics, unbelievable Ryder Cup, stunning end to last seasons Premiership, first Briton to win the Yellow Jersey in the TdF, Chelsea winning the Champions League, Murray breaking the Grand Slam hoodoo, F1 title went down to the wire in a final jaw-dropping Grand Prix and many, many more sporting feats and events.

I'm voting for Bradley Wiggins

Ben Ainslie for me. I'm usually spoiled by the lack of choice, any one of these could win it in a normal year. Why is the voting only opening later on, I think most people will have chosen their favourite by now. Why are there no equestrians in the 12, I know all the talk of elitism, blah blah blah, but they still had a successful Games in all 3 disciplines.

Forgot to add that as much as I like Bolt I'd hoped that Phelps might have got Overseas Personality or some form of special recognition for 18 gold medals.
