And if so, who for?

I'm so looking forward to the programme becasue it's been the greatest sporting year in living memory. Unforgettable Olympics and Paralympics, unbelievable Ryder Cup, stunning end to last seasons Premiership, first Briton to win the Yellow Jersey in the TdF, Chelsea winning the Champions League, Murray breaking the Grand Slam hoodoo, F1 title went down to the wire in a final jaw-dropping Grand Prix and many, many more sporting feats and events.

I'm voting for Bradley Wiggins

Wiggins is currently odds on with every major bookie, Ennis in second.
I'm confident he will get it, though I predicted Darren Clarke would win last year but he was pipped by Cav, so nothing is certain.

Due to the exploits of the nominees, I'd rather see them all voted joint Sports Personality. I think Wiggo might sneak it.

Through no fault of her own it may be that the event is slightly overshadowed by the attendance of the Duchess of Cambridge which was announced earlier.
It'll possibly turn into a pap-fest as the tabloids will doubtless focus on her and not the athletes.

I'm off to sit on the fence as to who I think will win, but Wiggo probably my personal choice as mosty deserving, if not my favourite choice; that would be Jessica.

To be honest they all deserve to win, but my vote would be for Ellie Simmonds. Not only has she done so well for her family, sport and country, but I can't remember seeing her without a smile on her face.

It is difficult to choose and I won't actually bother to vote as I don't think its fair to chose one person this year. But if forced to I'd go for Mo to win.

Yes joeluke, it was rather wonderful, despite all the negativity and scepticism but it's not just about the Olympics tonight, it covers the full range of sporting achievement by national and international athletes and sportsmen/women.

Yes I will be watching, and yes I will be voting but I haven't made up my mind who will get my vote yet! One thing I have decided on though - I won't be voting for Murray :-(
