Bike Theft
1 Answers
A strange one this. I live in a shared apartment block. last night someone broke in and walked out with my bike, which was outside the fornt door to my actual apartment, on the first floor. They had to wedge doors open to do it and must have carried the bike out as they took the whole thing, bike lock and all (It was chained to iteself).
The front door to my apartment block has been faulty for several weeks, and there are often people coming and going (neighbours, services, friends of tennants, prospective tennants) and the falty door would have been noticable to anyone coming and going. You have to really push the front door closed to make the lock shut.
The theft happened between 5pm and 6pm - a very busy time for people coming and going, but so far only once person has spotted aything (a suspicious looking van pulling up outside at 5.20pm - we have electric gates so they canot gain entry into the grounds of the development so would have to wait outside.).
