Personally, I believe this is the straw that breaks a rather forgiving camel's back. He needs to stand down now and concentrate on his domestic arrangements.
The newspapers are merely guilty of trying to sell more copy.........
Not on a true parallel, but wasn't Tony Adams convicted and imprisoned for lawbreaking in 1991 and after release subsequently became England team captain?
On that basis why should John Terry's private life interefere with his sporting life?
A friend of mine said to me that when Beckham cheated with Rebecca Loos he let his wife and kids down, but when he got sent off against Argentina he let the whole country down.
As far as I am concerned if we win the World Cup, John Terry can do what he likes to whoever he likes.
Further to lilsecret's comment re Tony Adams, there was also Peter Shilton who faced allegations of an extramarital affair and a proven conviction for drink-driving. Later he too became England's captain. So what exactly is the difference between Tony Adams, Peter Shilton and John Terry? I am with ll_billym on this one.
