my laptop recently seems to take ages to turn its self off any ideas?

It's probably installing a shedload of Microsoft upgrades.


if you're a Microsoft geek, you can deal with iy, but apart frim the wate of time. it's not a big thing. lie back and let the nice people fiddle with your most intimate settngs,,,,

done that Hans i have the pro version of malwarebytes all clear,but still slow to shut down

You've probably got a process that is not being quick enough to obey the Windows command to shut down.

take ages to turn itself off how much longer, seconds, minutes, hours?

Installed anything new recently? Plenty of unused HDD space available?

hi slack had a good clear up of the laptop,lots of stuff taken off today that was not being used seems to have done the trick(hopefully)
