T V Not Coming On.

We have been away these past few days and as usual when we go we switch all the sockets off. The T V will not come on !! There has been some changes on Free-view I believe. Can someone tell us what to do please.. BTW Have tried banging it!! Chris

have you checked the simpler things, like the fuse?

You will need to retune your freeview - though if it's not coming on at all it suggests that something else is wrong. Most channels will still work even without a retune

We just get a purple screen. Baffled!! Chris

Unplug the tv at the mains and leave for a minute...plug in again and should be ok

You should rescan your Freeview from scratch (may show under installation). Press the menu button and follow instructions and maybe that'll sort it.
