For years I have been using the auto backup from phone / iPad to iCloud and wonder if duplications are stored in the cloud. For instance, I seldom clear my photos from my phone therefore I can see there are photos from 2016 still there. I guess Backup has taken place many times and I wonder if the 2016 photos are being duplicated and consequently using my storage space.
Any advice welcome. Thanks Tel.

it shouldn't be....my icloud only backs up what it hasn't already saved....but why don't you go online from your ipad, sign into icloud and check?
