I last bought a toner cartridge for my HP printer last February and already it is running dry.
And before you ask, no I don't do a lot of printing at the most one sheet of paper per week.
How long does your toner last?
Is there anything I can do to prolong toner life?? At £43 this should last a good 6 months.

Older machines used to go through a 'charging' routine which used a fair bit of ink. Might that be a thing with your machine?

I have an Epson that uses four small cartridges that are available on eBay for very little money and they work fine. You just have to go through the 'we see you're not using Epson inks' chiding now and again and select 'print anyway'.
What is the make/model of your printer and what capacity is the toner cartridge? I would expect at least 2000 pages from a cartridge, you seem to have printed around 25 at the most. That is definitely not right

To see how many pages you should expect to get from a toner cartridge, look at the illustrations here for examples of 5%, 10%, 30%, 60% and 80% coverage, to see which is closest to what you typically print out. Then use the calculator below those illustrations:
