what is wrong with my pc?

when i turn on my pc all the fans come on but is just makes a beeping noise and doesn't start up. The monitor does not come on either. It was working fine i just tried to restart it after it said something was wrong with my ip

This happened to me the other day, my daughter was playing "memory intensive" games and it just started beeping, even when I tried to restart - although a simple soplution I just switched everything off , unplugged everything, gave it 5 minutes and all was OK, hopefully its something as simple as that ?hasnt happened since (apart from me banning her from going near it :-))

I recently had a similar problem where I recieved alternating High-Low beeps from the PC immediately from startup. I discovered that the BIOS had been overwritten by some software I installed back to a version that had issues with the processor. The BIOS was patched to the latest version which solved the problem.

Without knowing the kind of beeps your getting and the BIOS that your running it will be difficult to narrow down what exactly is causing the problem.
