how do i get the taskbar to change from running up and down the righthand side of the screen to back down the bottom where it usually is? and ideas you lovely people?

In trying to find the answer I managed to move my own taskbar!

Anyway, just double click on an empty space in the taskbar and drag it to the bottom.

Erm, I think Ethel means single-click, and drag whilst holding the mouse key down

Depends on the settings, rojash.

Mine is double click - but I am using a touchpad on a laptop, so have no mouse.

Once it is where you want it, you can right click on it and select

Lock the Taskbar

that will stop it moving.
