opening photos
when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

What a nuisance! A lady came to view the tv cabinet we were selling, and she wanted it there and then but I had no change, so she said she'd be back at 5.30 with a friend to help her carry it to the car, did she turn up? did she bugger. So I text her and she said she'd changed her mind! I mean if only I'd had the right change. And there was another chap eager for it at the same time, so I've inboxed him, hopefully he still wants it! Grrrrrr.
Evening each. Hi Robi I don't know what I'd do without my phone. I really ought to get some sort of backup for all my numbers. Or basically writing them down would be a good idea! ust sent a message hope it works.
I've had a 'not dashing about day' today. Walked to the paper shop. Read the paper and did the puzzles then started the jobs that needed doing. Basic cleaning, sorted cupboard out under the sink and started to do Steady's 3 loads of washing. I wash on 'economy 7' so it's a bit cheaper. 2 more loads to go which includes 2 lots of bed linen. I had a neighbour come round to borrow my steps cos neither he nor his partner had a key and luckily there was a door open. Anybody could have burgled them today. It was the large window above their front door. Barmy or what!
The Pest man came again today and said that Roland hadn't eaten the bait in the loft but it had all gone in the drain. So things are looking up or down (in the drain). He is coming back next week again.
I'm going to watch football tonight as I can't see anything else that interests me.
I haven't read any of the threads about poppy wearing, just to say I don't mind who does or doesn't and where or why, I know I'll be wearing mine when I go out. In truth I really don't have much time to read other threads.
Finally I've almost finished my second pair of socks so I can do that when I'm watching the footie.

No Jno. Steve the Pest man said "would you go out of your comfort zone when there's food there". I asked him the same question. It was a different type of thing as well. In the drain it was blocks of something threaded on a wire hanging from the grid and the loft it was like 'oats' with red beans in a tray.
Haha ..yes it looks simple .I just used to put them on hangers.If Mr S went away on business he had a shirt carrier case that had cards in it that you could fold the shirts around .You needed a degree on shirt packing to operate it :)

What do they make packaging from these days ..cast iron ? I had to tussle with it and then the bag split down the side and they went all over the shop and under the sofa .I had to have a drink to calm my nerves...

fireworks yet again tonight. very close and the kind that are designed to be noisy. The boys did panic a bit but not the total out of control thing. Will be really glad when its over this year though, there's just no let up. One of the nurses at the vets I go to was out riding her horse and teenagers in a car threw a lit firework out the car window at the horse. I hope they get caught.

I know how you feel Woofy .Shaney was terrified of fireworks so bang on as much as you like .Some people are so thoughtless .Fancy doing that near a horse .It could have bolted and thrown her .I remember coming along the road with Shaney from the rec near to firework night and some idiots on a motor scooter rode past and threw a firecracker .He went bananas .Good job I always had a harness and short lead on him when walking or I wouldn't have been able to control him .
Good morning. Lovely sunny and rather too warm day here. It's all back to summer clothes and I had put them away when we did the bedroom.
Jude can you see my cabinet on FB? I thought it was just on Ibiza for sale site! It certainly looked dusty so I've cleaned it now.
Mr N is going to collect the pc tower today so I'll be back on xp, yippee. My windows 8 has just updated itself to windows 8.1 but I don't hold ouot much hope that it'll be improved.
