opening photos

when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

Jude, my OH has just acquired an Ipad mini. Much perplexity has arisen... as we went for a birthday dinenr with jno jnr tonight, his brains were picked at length, and that has helped considerably (he already has an Ipad and Iphone).

Mr N wants me to have an ipad, I do not want one, until they become phones. I have been looking at phablets but just not too bothered at the moment. This windows 8 was the worst thing ever invented, absolute rubbish, and not a lot of programmes work on it!

Sorting out the clothes for the charity shop today, we only have one charity shop here, it's Caritas, and it helps the homeless, gives them one hot lunch a day and cuts the hair and all sorts of goodness.

we have two charity shops locally, one for the blind, one for the desperate, but there are lots in the next suburb - those in peril on the deep, hearts, cancer, disability, famished oxen, the works.

Dreary and dull again Hope you're all ok though . Nothing much doing at Shaneytowers .I woudn't mind an Ipad but at the moment a heat pad would be a better option along with a hip pad ,back pad and a knee pad .

Morning...what the heck? I had to google 'phablet'. Tut, I can't keep up. I have to ask my computer who it is sometimes. Apparently my browser is Firefox 11, Windows 7....so I'm probably verging on the obsolete then.

It was such a noisy bonfire night here, the explosions were terrible. I was a wreck by the time I went to bed and I'm not scared by them so I really feel for animals and those who are afraid.

Well I hope no one comes to my door today, I'll have to drag my waders on pdq if they do, I've put my jogging bottoms on inside out.

goodness, I've got Firefox 25 - It was probably about 11 when I installed it but it updates itself. Do you have to get the butler to update yours by hand, Robinia? I've got Windows something... it was installed by Stan the Man when I got the current computer so it's probably Windows Bulgarian.

good afternoon all. The boys decided to hunt the garden in the dark last night so we have all had a nice lie in and have just had nutella and toast for breakfast (me ) and bovril and toast (the boys)
I am attached to my ipad mini, it just about goes everywhere with me and is much easier to use than windows. I wouldn't go back to the bigger screen, not even in the air version, but would be interested in a mini air, budget permitting.
Its very windy here and I keep losing the sky signal. last time the bloke came out, he put it on a longer bracket to get a signal but it waves around in the wind now which is a bit of a nuisance.

Hello Biddy friends. Just got back from a visit to the Apple shop and now can send and receive emails on my mini. So I'm set now. Working my way through the settings.
We have 4 charity shops in our shopping area. Cancer research, Mind, Help the aged and one other not sure what that is. Robi will probably remember.
Steady's 43rd today and I've been doing his washing and ironing as his washer has broken so I'll be going up to his house later with birthday cards and pile of clothes. I expect I'll have another load to bring back.

I'm now using Silk 3.7 on kindle fire so now you can see my little quirks in HD :)

It's no good asking me anything techno jno, I don't have a clue and if tarquin tries to explain anything my remaining brain cells go into snooze mode. I love my big puta for banking & shopping, much too fiddly on this kindle...one false move and my meagre savings could land in shaney's handbag fund.

Phew..... just finished recycling for the charity shop, they have big red bins by the rubbish and we have to pack the unwanted clothes and brand new shoes (in the case of hija!) into bags and pull down a heavy door and lollop the bags in, I was blocking the road to the Health centre for a few mins while I was doing it but everyone is very forgiving towards charity and it's donors.

Have also got rid of the huge box of rubbish, also by chucking into several bin liners and dumping the the appropriate containers.

Now sorting out all the clothes and goodies for hija's box for Barça, there is soooo much!

I must clarify that the good clothes and new shoes (in the case of hija) will be sold in the charity shops and the money put towards good causes.

ipad air is the latest one. thinner and lighter. you can have more storage if you pay for it, and a better screen.

I think this computer is nearly as old as me ..lol. It limps along though although the elastic bands need tightening from time to time .
Picky has a thing which is a phone and also has so many bells and whistles on it I fully expect it to grow legs and start dancing .. You can even talk to it and it finds what you want. Just what I could do with when I want a conversation with myself .
