Outgoing e-mails

I use Outlook with Windows XP Professional.

When I click on "send" the outgoing e-mail sometimes hangs in the outbox, which can in some cases be hours.
Other times it will leave immediately.
Can any wizzkid offer advice?

check the settings.

otherwise that's life...
depending on who your ISP is the mail servers can refuse connections

If your with Tiscali they have just issued an e-mail saying that due to virus attacks at the server are unable to handle e-mail requests properly.
